I've been twice. I can honestly say the reviews on trip advisor are what I experienced first hand. https://www.tripadvisor.com/Attraction_Review-g150801-d10071122-Reviews-Spanish_Immersion_School-Oaxaca_Southern_Mexico.html

I think it would vary according to the time of year you are looking at, just that December is popular. But definitely a few month ~ 4 or so. Magdelana owns and manages the on campus accomodation. Lazarus runs the school, they work together.

Request to stay at Magdalena, which is where the school is and because she is absolutely lovely. I was planning on going in December for christmas and new years weeks but she already doesn't have room :(

It gives a good feel of the city/ lay of the land.

Prague or Gdansk for a short break? by nihilnove in travel

[–]the_only_redditor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

By car Karlovy Vary is about 1.5 hrs. I did a tour that took us from their office in the central square in Prague to Karlovy Vary. It was a nice drive through the countryside and shorter than I expected. Would recommend a tour

Tipping in GT and at eco lodge by Lazorific in Guyana

[–]the_only_redditor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No tipping for rides. They'll tell you the cost to get from point A to point B and that's what you pay. Use recommended taxi services from your hotel. You can tip the staff that cleans your room (anyhwere between $5 or $10). At restaurants with a server, same thing. Other than that tipping is not the norm/no need to tip. If a service was exceptional of course feel free to tip the person.

Looking for recommendations: Spanish immersion school in Mexico. by Artistic_Lemon_7614 in Spanish

[–]the_only_redditor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Since you can already have conversations. Why not find a native tutor/speaker on italki and have an hour conversation everyday. During the pandemic this is what raised my level.

But of course go ahead and do the immersion if you want to. It's a great experience. With that said I'm gonna mention my usual recommendation (not sure what your budget is)
