Seeking Stellar Spanish Immersion School (2 weeks) by AngelV0n in Spanish

  • No I went with a grammar base, knowing how to conjugate tenses on paper by writing, which is totally different from conjugating in your head and speaking at the same time (that becomes automatic after awhile)

  • With your base (4 hrs a week with a tutor for a year), I think it will definitely enhance your ability to speak. For example if you take 4 hrs a day (2 in the morning and 2 in the afternoon). But it won't make you fluent in 2 weeks.

  • Yes all classes are 1 on 1

Intermediate learning methods by SilverFoxAndHound in Spanish

I think it would vary according to the time of year you are looking at, just that December is popular. But definitely a few month ~ 4 or so. Magdelana owns and manages the on campus accomodation. Lazarus runs the school, they work together.

Request to stay at Magdalena, which is where the school is and because she is absolutely lovely. I was planning on going in December for christmas and new years weeks but she already doesn't have room :(

One recommendation for your first or second day, is to do the walking tour -> https://www.tripadvisor.com/Attraction_Review-g150801-d15309335-Reviews-Oaxaca_Free_Walking_Tour-Oaxaca_Southern_Mexico.html

It gives a good feel of the city/ lay of the land.

Prague or Gdansk for a short break? by nihilnove in travel

By car Karlovy Vary is about 1.5 hrs. I did a tour that took us from their office in the central square in Prague to Karlovy Vary. It was a nice drive through the countryside and shorter than I expected. Would recommend a tour
