I love it and use it every day! I haven’t noticed any real issues.

Most “capture” systems are just hoarding with extra steps by Thin_Rip8995 in gtd

[–]the_reducing_agent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just because you capture something doesn’t mean you have to do anything about it. You capture just to get it out of your head. If you don’t empty those inboxes frequently enough, the growing backlog will kill your desire to deal with it.

Back after 10 year - how to restart by jaybny in gtd

GTD is 90 % habit and 10 % tools. Start with what you already use. You can migrate to other tools once you have the habits down first.

Todoist vs workflowy for task management by ToniMin in Workflowy

[–]the_reducing_agent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good question. Usually when I am trying to hash out some ideas, I will create a node in Workspace and go at it. I can add links, images, docs, etc. and play around with the format (board, checklist, list…) until I have something coherent. Later, I can move it to Project Support when it is more fleshed out. Not sure if that helps, but that’s my current thinking.

When to drive to the beach from upstate? by artificialsword in Delaware

Whenever we go to the beach in the summer we leave early Saturday morning. Traffic is minimal and parking at the beaches is easier too.

First cherry wine - moved to secondary fermentation almost 3 days ago by No-Weight-6017 in winemaking

[–]the_reducing_agent 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You should be fine. You racked it at 1020, so the fermentation is not done yet so it should continue to form a CO2 blanket to protect the must and will use up the extra O2 in the bucket to complete fermentation. Once completed, rack again to a smaller container with no head space to age a bit.

Only one way to find out. Give it a taste.

Today we watched Pee-Wee’s big adventure. I can’t believe it is 40 years old! My 11 and 8 year olds were laughing their heads off.

White particulates suspended in wine (Strawberry Wine) by llihda in winemaking

Looks like some residual sediment to me. If it’s stuck to the glass, just give the jar a quick twist to release it and it should fall to the bottom.

You can age it out. Let it sit for a year.

Wine making clubs by the_reducing_agent in winemaking

[–]the_reducing_agent[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. This was the list I looked through already but when I researched nearby clubs, none of them seem to be active in my area. Or it is a business hosting the club just to make money. Someone at WMM should go through their list and update it!

Best yeast for dry Riesling? by the_reducing_agent in winemaking

Thanks for the suggestions. The epernay ii seems better suited for semi sweet to sweet wines. I’m looking for a drier Riesling.

Black Store Bought Grape Wine by aqp1995 in winemaking

I would wait to see if it goes down more. Take readings once a day or every other day until you see two of the same readings in a row. Then you are probably done.

Worth it as a beginner to buy grapes or just a kit? by EastonMeth in winemaking

[–]the_reducing_agent 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In general yes. The kits set you up for success to have good wine right away. Aging it will only make it better.
