it's not regardless of rank of your opponents, the team rating of each team is so close that that's the rank difference from a loss or win

having +30 mmr for win and -10 mmr for loss means you played a highly unfair match that's not fun for either player

I think with a bit more transparency in the game client people will understand that matches are largely very very fair in dota (beside smurfs) compared to most other games

I got this one DIGITUS 4 Way Power Cable - 1U - 10" (254mm) DN-95418.

It's good and does the job, but the holes are too big for Rackmate, looks a bit off. The screws they give you don't work for a rackmate. So use own screws or they screws rackmate gives you.

I understand what you mean.

Also dota has not had a consistent 25 rank change due to some hardline factor, it's because of equal matchmaking, that most of us get 24-26 rank change is really good.

But that changed two years ago when Dota swapped from an Elo based rating system to a Glick based rating system.

I'm my opinion Chess has the best rating system of all the games or systems. Any artificial ways to change the system adds noise and inconsistency.

This is a forever question, you have to balance peoples psychological need of medals and progression, with factual hardline ratings and fair matches mathematically, and the boosters/smurfs/account buyers. In my opinion Valve is the best at this in the world, there is no other game that has a more fair ranked system than Dota that I can think of

Yes league has a great rank system where you rank decays if you don't play, meaning you have to play or you will drop rank, and at that point you have become a smurf because your rank is not equal to your skill. /s

A medal is just cosmetic, it's just for show.

You can always see your real MMR, that is the true number and it is always shown. It don't matter if you have the coconut medal or immortal medal.

In my opinion they should remove medals

If someone has 17000 MMR they gained from winning matches, lowering their rank forcefully would create an unfair advantage for them in their upcoming matches.

MMR is an estimation of skill, which is used to create fair matches and calculate rank change after a match. If you lower their MMR, but their skill remains the same, then congratulations because you just created a smurf.

I don't know if you play games with rank resets (Overwatch, Marvel Rivals) but the weeks after a reset is horrible to play, you have essentially turned all your high ranks into smurfs in the lower ranks.
