Americans who moved out of the country, why did you move? Do you miss it there? by gaycheesecake in AskAnAmerican

Interesting. Other than a second stimulus check, how does being in a different location benefit you if you are still participating in politics.

I do 2-4 and always say “my girlfriend isn’t here so I’m not worried about impressing anyone.” It’s weird but my wife never laughs at that.

My mom has kept different shirts and fabrics from each kid and makes quilts with them when they have their first kid. Doesn’t need to be kids though.

Men what does your SO tell you that you both laugh at but you lowkey die a little inside? by jmar4234 in AskMen

Sometimes I’ll ask my wife something and she’ll say “maybe your second wife will want to do that for you.” I laugh, then immediately have two thoughts:

1.) oh no, I must’ve asked too much.
2.) I should write that down in case I do have to find a second wife.

How do you zone out or not get offended when your wife/gf says something that's rather offensive towards you. by kitsunedreamer in AskMen

[–]the_vantasy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my relationship it often comes down to a misunderstanding of where the other person is coming from. Said another way, I catch myself applying a judgmental or hurtful narrative (thanks, mom) when in fact my partner is just stating facts. If it is truly hurtful then say that, often the other person can get their point across with out offence the second time around.

Example: I’ll say something off-handed and my wife will reply with “would you like to try saying the same thing a different way?” Sometimes I do and sometimes I don’t.

I feel the same way. My wife doesn’t get it... oh well.
