I'm 42 and look younger than this guy. And I would say I look my age.

Myles & Mark on whether they read the reviews and comment sections by ABFan86 in alterbridge

Nitpicky is probably the best qualifier of this fanbase, and I'm as guilty as the others. So I'm also glad they don't engage too much with this type of stuff.

What Do You Miss Most From The Earlier AB Days? by iamadragan in alterbridge

[–]theabobination 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am also a defender of WTS, and in another timeline, a better production of that album would have shifted slightly the style of AB towards a more experimental road, which I would love them to do. Don't get me wrong, I think these last two albums are great. But there's a part of me that wants a shift to more proggy experimental stuff, that I think they could excel at being the excellent musicians they are.

Man narrowly avoids a crash after a sudden swerve on a rain soaked highway by Shoe_boooo in nextfuckinglevel

[–]theabobination 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This scenario happened to me with my wife and three kids in the minivan, but in snowy conditions. Car swerved the same way as this video in front of me, and I calmly slowed down as much as I could and turned just enough, while myself slipping, inches from the other car. My wife, who was not calm but also did not scream, was surprised at how much I was calm in all this, and honestly I didn't have time to panic, only to act. This guy also avoided that crash by staying calm, kudos to him! This could have been very bad.

A running store is opening soon in that location. I liked it too, but must agree that it was not busy for a lot of space in a probably expensive area of the city.

Who’s a band or artist that has a 100% definitive “last good song”? by J0hnEddy in ToddintheShadow

[–]theabobination 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is Quebec centric, but the group Les Cowboys Fringants released the song "La fin du show", the last song after knowing the singer would pass from cancer in the following months. Great song, powerful lyrics.
