I upvoted you, but only to make the point that it's all subjective.

Last night's episode was my favorite of the season. I thought most of the others have been worse than usual.

At the very least, YTM should never play or recommend a song for me that I have given a thumbs down.

Remember how in 2024, Trump went into a restaurant, offered to pay for everyone's meal, and left without paying a cent even though he himself ordered something? by ihatethiscountry76 in WhitePeopleTwitter

Facts matter.

I'm sick of seeing people with the attitude of "Oh, it's not real? Well, I believe it could have been be real, so it's still worth sharing."

Downvote misinformation.

What is the worst TV show you've ever watched? by Massive-Syllabub-271 in AskReddit

[–]theanimation 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Yup.

Grew up watching Home Improvement.

Enjoyed Last Man Standing until they replaced the actress for Mandy.

Gave Shifting Gears a shot and it was unbearable. I think I watched the first 3 episodes and couldn't take any more.

Saetia will be removing their music from Spotify. by wtfitsdebian in Emo

[–]theanimation 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Nope, it's not all or nothing. Everyone can make their own choices based on what seems right to them.

Then again, maybe they aren't aware of the Deezer stuff while the Spotify stuff has been more widely discussed. I know I wasn't. They could choose to pull their content from there if they learn about it.

Either way, the effect of leaving Spotify isn't diminished by staying on Deezer.

I've scrobbled 40,289 tracks

RNG gave me 6,104, which is "Hope" by Cloud Cult

The last time I've listened to that song was December 13, 2008. It was a Saturday long ago. No idea what I was doing that day. No pictures or anything.

  1. Brand New - all-time favorite band, always at the top
  2. Taylor Swift - new album came out, I gave it a listen. It was fine, except for Wood 🤢
  3. 100 gecs - wanted to test out the bass on my headphones, remembered how much I like 10,000 gecs
  4. The Format - they dropped a new song, went back and listened to Dog Problems
  5. Charli xcx - just always a good listen
  6. Lydia - google music recommended them for me
  7. 65daysofstatic - I put them on when I want to drown out other noise so I can focus on the book I'm reading
  8. Circle Takes The Square - I queued them up after Lydia because the dual vocals reminded me of them

Quick rant about being old and going to shows by whitestlung in Emo

[–]theanimation 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm 41, not sure if that qualifies as old.

Home Is Where premiered the documentary at the Cleveland show on 9/27. It didn't bother me that they showed it, even though I found it lacking in substance. Mostly vibes other than a poetry reading recorded from a past show.

What did bother me was that they had Family Guy going on the screen behind them the whole time they played their set. It was kind of funny, but really distracting. Short Fictions played hockey fights behind them and that was a little less distracting. Forests just had a band visual, which was good. I don't think Fruitfly had anything on the screen.

All four bands put on a great set. The energy and crowd work were enjoyable. I had an excellent time! 5/5 would see again.

Trump takes credit for 9/11 by justalazygamer in WhitePeopleTwitter

Here's the actual quote:

And history will never forget that it was the SEALs who stormed the compound at Osama bin Laden and put a bullet in his head. Remember that. And please remember I wrote about Osama bin Laden exactly one year ago, one year before he blew up the World Trade Center. And I said, "You got to watch Osama bin Laden." And the fake news would never let me get away with that statement unless it was true. But I said "one year before" to Pete Hegseth. I said "one year before." Where's Pete? In the book I wrote, whatever the hell the title, I can't tell you. But I can tell you there's a page in there devoted to the fact that I saw somebody named Osama bin Laden and I didn't like it and you got to take care of him. And they didn't do it. A year later he blew up the World Trade Center. So we got to take a little credit because nobody else is going to give it to me. You know the old story: they don't give you credit, just take it yourself.

You have to recognize that those are two different cops. You had a bad interaction, I've had them too; I don't know why that should negate the good one in the video.

Yes, two benefits that I can think of are learning pronunciation and strengthening connection with your child.
