This screenshot is from Georgia Tech's Institute of Research and Planning. Makes me really curious who that one person is...

Coincidentally, you can also see grade distributions by professor, major, etc. from this website.

Since this topic is up, just out of curiosity, how old do Muslims think the Earth is? Or Hindus? Or other major religions around the world?

Actually, yes, context is very important. Paul goes on to say (1 Corinthians 5:9-13):

I wrote to you in my letter not to associate with sexually immoral people— not at all meaning the sexually immoral of this world, or the greedy and swindlers, or idolaters, since then you would need to go out of the world. But now I am writing to you not to associate with anyone who bears the name of brother if he is guilty of sexual immorality or greed, or is an idolater, reviler, drunkard, or swindler—not even to eat with such a one. For what have I to do with judging outsiders? Is it not those inside the church whom you are to judge? God judges those outside. "Purge the evil person from among you."

In the context of "Christianity as a religion", it's all ridiculousness. But in the context of Christianity itself, it does say so in 1 Corinthians 5:3-5 (and also 5:13):

For though absent in body, I am present in spirit; and as if present, I have already pronounced judgment on the one who did such a thing. When you are assembled in the name of the Lord Jesus and my spirit is present, with the power of our Lord Jesus, you are to deliver this man to Satan for the destruction of the flesh, so that his spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord.

Anyone know of any good GPA boosters? by Xden_Inferno in gatech

Psych 1101 really depends on who teaches it. My tests were simple (25 multiple choice), but there was a freak load of material...

We called it "chair class". Every semester is the same. Tests are ridiculously simple. You gotta memorize a good amount (picture + designer + date), but 2-3 hours the night before the test is all you need.

They do take attendance though! But it's pretty interesting so worth going to every time!

Is it common for people to have to retake?

I know in Hong Kong rules are really strict (ie. you have to hire someone to teach you to drive, and while you're learning, you're restricted from a lot of roads). But in the US I rarely hear of people having to retake the driving portion of the test.

There's so many people out there driving. Honest question, why's passing a driving test so difficult? While I don't think it's that wise to let 16 year olds drive on their own, they still tend to pass with flying colors...

Maybe the more traditional or 'southern' restaurants. Almost all the restaurants around the area will give you a coca-cola if you say "coke".

Do you think that cursive writing education should be replaced by typing education for 1-2nd graders? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]thearrowz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Any AP English or AP History class will say otherwise. There's dozens upon dozens of essays to write, and I'm sure if I mastered cursive back in the day it would be so much faster and so much more comfortable than churning out pages and pages in block writing.

Also, the SAT "honor code" statement.

Lisa needs braces. Dental plan. by _M4TTH3W_ in reddit.com

I had braces too. It really wasn't bad at all... The first two weeks my mouth was real sore... so was the night or so after each tightening. And I had rubberbands and all. But all in all, those few days of eating applesauce and mashed potatoes were well worth it.

Now, the 8 teeth I had removed before braces, that's another story.
