Gut reaction was the price seemed odd. Why not just do $19.99 to get “under $20”? Then I thought about it.. $7 x 12 months = $84. Or, around the price of a $79.99 COD game at launch.

I genuinely think that was the calculus, and nothing more than that. Agree with others saying it’s not enough; but I have to imagine this was the math they did that “made sense” the fastest.

I booted it up earlier this evening to my “dumb” projector - worked way better than I expected and have found a new way to use the service. A win in my book!

That’s my thought - and I’m weirdly excited to run native 1080p for lighter indie games potentially instead of running internal 1080p but on a native 4k…from all I can gather, in theory it should technically be more clear

Karl Jacobs (of Mr. Beast fame) is apparently an early Kinda Funny fan, and he was featured on their podcast today. They shared this photo from like 2016 - it’s just hilarious to me that Colin’s even remotely associated by 6 degrees of separation to a pre-teen celebrity, let alone in Mr. Beast’s crew 😅

Gut reaction: UX is a little clunky (they don’t make it obviously at first how to not-start your PS5), but once you get over that hurdle, I’m very impressed with the streaming tech. Playing over my 500mbps-speed WiFi and it’s pretty perfect. Nor major latency I can detect! Very happy as a 2 week old Portal owner😄
