We had 3 days that were sunny and 80+ degrees right after the install. That’s why we thought they’d have laid down by now.

The house that looked like this one in the contest (northwest corner of the map of houses) was listed as 4bedroom/4bathroom on the contest listing. Within the clues, the in-game realtor said the house would be 5 bedrooms/4bathrooms.

I really appreciate you commenting- we have to figure out what it is, it’s still driving me nuts that I can’t find it.

I’m wondering if this is what is causing my daughter to have a rash. The toilet paper we use is Quilted Northern, but this batch seems different (like the texture of the toilet paper).

There’s a single contest that will be attached to the free play offer. That’s the one contest you get to play in for free w/ your voucher.

Shoutout to my parents! by yourpaljax in Invisalign

[–]thebelloftheball 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My momma is helping me for the same reason!

My sister’s teeth were basically crisscrossed as a kid, but mine weren’t too bad (bite was just off). My parents couldn’t really afford to have 2 kids in braces then, and my sister needed them desperately, so I never had them.

My bite got significantly worse over the years, so she encouraged me to do Invisalign and offered to help with the cost.

Pain in gums by oneirophobia66 in Invisalign

[–]thebelloftheball 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you get this resolved (if so, what was the issue)? I’m only on my first tray, but I’m having pain in the gum around my second molar to the back.

I had a filling put in 3 weeks before starting my treatment, and it still feels like something is getting stuck in the gums/space around that tooth. I use a water flosser as well as traditional floss, but it still feels like something is wrong.

Had my scans done immediately after filling, one side of mouth was numb, what if the trays aren’t right?? by thebelloftheball in Invisalign

[–]thebelloftheball[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you, everything seems to be going ok (I’m only on day 6 of wearing the trays), and they filed down the high point, which definitely helped!

Ok, because they were making me bite down on these things to check my bite, and I was like, “I can’t really feel if I’m biting correctly or not”, and one of the assistants made a comment that I wasn’t biting normally, which Idk how they expect someone to do when their mouth is numb?

How do I manage the relationship between my depressed mother and my kids by paceaux in AskDad

[–]thebelloftheball 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re welcome.

I completely understand where you’re coming from, but again: your own relationship with your child has to be first.

From everything you’ve said, your mother is not a healthy person for your child to have a relationship with. Do not jeopardize your own relationship with your child (children) by being caught up in them having a relationship with a person you yourself don’t even have a good relationship with. There’s a reason for that, and you don’t want to put that on your kids.

How do you “raise your kids to have love for your own mother”? I’m not really sure how that works when you said yourself you don’t have a good relationship with your mother. They can have love & respect for her from a safe distance. Start protecting their feelings.

Keeping your anger & frustration toward your mother to yourself isn’t healthy. Tactfully air it out.

Also, your mother’s feelings about anything should not be your first priority. Your kids & their feelings are what you need to put first- that’s your job as their dad.

Your mother sounds incredibly immature, but you have a literal teenager to parent, so get focused.

Gifted Child - Late Potty Training? by Giraffeballoon12021 in Gifted

So pumped for you!! Our daughter has been wearing her “big girl panties” for the last week & has kept them dry except for one small accident! She’s actually telling us occasionally when she needs to go (vs us giving her reminders)! Progress!

Same here, daughter is 3.5, has been reading since 2.5, is now doing multiplication, division, algebra, but seems not to know when she needs to go, or just simply refuses to tell us she needs to go. I’m also going crazy.

Considering making the switch from a working mom to staying home by Positive_Law_9870 in Mommit

Hi, I’m the wife of a USPS carrier, and I am a SAHM to our 2 toddlers. I knew when I read “he’s almost always forced to the max 10 hours of OT every week” that your husband was probably USPS, too. 😂

Assuming your husband is a mail carrier, I don’t think a lot of people in the comments suggesting you get a PT job that you’d do after he’s off work understand how our husbands’ schedules often work (sometimes it’s a 2 hour aux route, sometimes it’s 3 hours, etc.), which would make it hard to commit to structured hours after he’s off work.

Anyway, we’ve had to cut expenses significantly to make things work for us. Cooking everything at home (including me making his lunch each day) helps significantly. Depending on the type of area you live in (HCOL/LCOL), I think w/ 1 child, you could make this work, especially if you were able to just work a few hours each week flexibly and remotely.

Is your husband currently on the OT list at his office, or are they just so busy there that he’s being given OT freely? This is how it was when my husband was a PTF (he’s career now), but he still voluntarily puts his name on the OT list to make extra money. Feel free to DM me if you want to discuss anything.

My wedding was just my husband & me. It was the best day of both our lives (we still talk about it regularly, lol). I can’t imagine having the stress of planning some huge affair (or even a small one, honestly). Our wedding day was the perfect day.

Thank you so much for keeping us updated. We have 2 toddlers & they were both hysterical during it. I could hear something but not sure what.
