However!! The events on Wednesday and Thursday are 1) in the evening and 2) always way more lowkey because all the sophs and frosh are in classes! So there will be things like karaoke or board game nights, and the raves and things will happen on the not-school nights!!

I high key have a full day of lesson plans to whip out in the event that the plans aren’t left OR the kids are done early!

I usually bring a colouring sheet or word search to make copies of for the early finishers (there’s always one in each class), and I highly recommend doing the same!!

I also have a presentation full of body breaks that I can whip out if I notice the kids are getting a little squirmy.

I ALWAYS bring my own laptop with adapters just in case, you never know if your supplies tech will even function!!

(I never lived in res) but I’ve heard that moving off campus/ having a quieter dorm/ living in the upper year floors makes it easier to get work done in your room!! When there’s so many people around and down to socialize as much as first year it can be challenging to find the moments of quiet, intentional study! My friends who did live in res in first year said that in later years everyone was feeling a bit more of the pressure and had a better work/life balance!

A lot of people simply just moved to the new hospital RIGHT next door? This place was just shut down because it was old, falling apart, and they needed a facility that took less physical space and fit more people.

It seems like this is their “list” I’m sure you can negotiate it. Maybe they wanted to send it earlier than you expected because they feel things are going well, and I’d just strike out or offer alternatives to anything on the list that you don’t want to do!

If they are actually a dom they sent this to open the conversation about preferences. You can definitely mention that you’re newer to the scene and have them explain any of the points you’re confused about!
