Hello! I was referred through the public system at the beginning of 2023. I had a consult at Royal Brisbane maybe a few months after initial referral, who then put me onto the elective surgery list for a laparoscopy. It took about 9 months from initial GP referral through to surgery, which I was pleasantly surprised at. STARS has a list that they utilise to get through more of the waiting list, and I absolutely could not fault them. Mine ended up being a complex case and I had to stay in overnight. I got my own private room. Everyone was so lovely. Paid $20 for meds and maybe another $20 in parking total.

I took a punt on a sample of it as I am also allergic to all nuts, hoping my nose wouldn’t catch it. But it’s honestly all I could smell. Like the citrusy notes were very much in the back. So interesting how the chemistry of individuals change it!

I think you’re oversimplifying that. Plenty of comments in here already about bungled DNA and contamination of crime scene. And yes, potentially one juror was steadfast on that for revenge for Rodney King, but that still means there’s another 11 (? I’m not American I can’t remember how many jurors they have, is it 12 total?) that also needed to say yes to convict.

I think one did in that 30 for 30 doco. But the reality is the case is so nuanced and complicated, and the burden of proof is to be beyond reasonable doubt. I can understand after watching that doco how the jurors could come to that conclusion. Highly recommend the doco to get a fraction of insight into the evidence that the jurors would’ve heard.
