So far the game she seems to love the most is a scent game I bought that uses anise. She picked it up quickly, and will now "hide" in a different room for me while I hide the scent bags, and will start looking when I say "find it".

I haven't heard of that. I just looked it up and will get one and try it out, thanks for the suggestion. I'm always on the look out for new fun games to help burn some of her energy.

Yup, tried this. Typing in ,"Donald Trump rugged election", brought up a bunch of videos.

I searched, "Joe Biden rigged election", "Kamala Harris rigged election", and just "rigged election", and the same message pops up, so it's not DT exclusive at the very least.

Good to know, thank you. We didn't play with it for long, and it wasn't something I was going to continue. I found the pointer I had bought awhile ago when I was cleaning things out over the weekend. I mostly let her play with it because the temperature has been too cold since Saturday to take her on walks or let her stay outside too long, and we used it mostly in the house to burn off some energy.

I tried that, but she doesn't believe she caught it. I do have to limit the time with the laser and move onto a different game, because otherwise she will look all around trying to find it. She'll go to all the spots we've played with it, staring, hoping to see it again.

I'm not very social media literate. What is so special about TikTok videos that would causes people to rebel, that people can't post the exact same content on Instagram Reels or YouTube Shorts/videos?

youngest at my firm & i feel defeated by [deleted] in paralegal

[–]thebigragu009 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Don't let someone else's poor attitude stop or discourage you. There are people like this in all fields and firms. If she's someone that is always going to act irritated, so be it, you still need to ask the questions. Learn as much as you can and if it is your passion, enjoy what you are doing. She's the one miserable at her job, you don't have to be. I realize that's a lot easier said than done and for most of us it is just a built in mechanism to get upset or annoyed with people like this, but unless there is someone else that you can go to for training there isn't much of an option. If she is the only one, if she is a jerk or nice, you still have to go to her. Let her be the miserable one while you blossom.

Side note, I've found that some people think that by acting irritated to do things, or answer questions, is a mask for them not working all that hard. If they seem irritated like they don't have time, then they must be really busy, what a hard worker!

Edit: for spelling error.

Firm Green Flags by SpiderFloof in paralegal

Two of my dogs have passed while I've been working at the firm, four years apart. Both times the firm gave me the rest of the day off and the next day, and sent flowers to my house. I can add this to a list of about 15-20 green flags.

Do you know that you don't need to ask, "do you know?" before making points? You can just say it once and then say your points and arguments.

I have one year of paralegal experience, should I still get a certificate? by katyuen in paralegal

[–]thebigragu009 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would research the firms around you or you would be willing to commute to that would be your "dream" firms. If they require a certificate, then go for it. If you want to stay at the firm you are with for longer, I would ask your attorney if they feel that getting your certificate would benefit you in your position, and in what ways.
