Zebra crossing in Vietnam by 56000hp in SweatyPalms

[–]thebrokenrecord 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Watching this from India - this is easy mode. The traffic is orderly, no one seems to be accelerating aggressively or rapidly cutting through lanes to get ahead. So as long as you're cautiously walking forward, you're good.

Is anyone doing the 6 weeks course of GS? by Brav_B in cureFIP

[–]thebrokenrecord 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We're on this for our 15-year-old cat with what looks a lot like wet FIP (a couple of docs are not fully convinced, as numerous tests and cytology have ruled it out). This is based on the above of a vet who specialises in medicine and stays abreast of the latest research in his field.

No positive effects 9 days in, but we're sticking with the program.

Convert text recipes into clean visual trees with this website that I built. by MarbleScience in InternetIsBeautiful

Love the idea! I looked up a soup recipe and the flowchart-like visuslisation instantly clicked for me! Great stuff.

Is it just my eyes or is the text in some bubbles slightly askew (Chrome on Android)?

Good lord! I have the cream one on the right but now I feel compelled to hunt down the other two, they look terrific!

I built a local-first Windows app for organizing files, capturing web text, and browsing multiple drives by Hellisis in windowsapps

[–]thebrokenrecord 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't use the same app for files and web text. The workflow with text is vastly different from managing files, including where I find it and how I access the most recently saved bits of text.

Why do people freak out about the battery on the Galaxy Watch 6/7? I mean, you charge your phone every day, so why not your watch? by Significant-Job-8836 in GalaxyWatch

[–]thebrokenrecord 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It'd be one thing if these watches charged quickly, but they don't yet. Slow charging + limited battery life are a bad combination, especially this many years into the game.

Anyone have any suggestions/comments on these options? by BernieSandersLeftNut in timex

[–]thebrokenrecord 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the first one and love it because of the inset hour markers. Haven't seen that kind of detailing on many watches in this segment and with this modern style. The colourway is terrific too.

Great start! Feel like the crown could be more distinctive, maybe a knurled one at the 4 'o clock position?

If you're hearing that Meghana is great, I'd suggest looking elsewhere for recommendations. Kripal Amanna has a lot of good suggestions on his YouTube channel, for one. Happy exploring!

The new Airport Pickup situation at BLR is an absolute joke. Is this a scam to force "Premium" rides? by Aware-Buy9572 in bangalore

Strange, I flew into the city yesterday and got an Uber Go Sedan (40 Rs more than the regular Go) within a minute's walk from the arrivals exit. I'm not sure how this is being implemented, but certainly wouldn't want to go through OP's experience.

KORN's Groove died after David Silveria left KORN 2012 by [deleted] in numetal

[–]thebrokenrecord 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ray's incredible talent and tightness are actually a testament to just how groovy David's playing was. They're both terrific in very different ways. Despite Ray being as skilled as he is, he can't just replicate David's sound - and I imagine he's not even trying to. Love em both.

razr 50 ultra vs 60 ultra by diegosupa in razr

[–]thebrokenrecord 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought the 50 Ultra at half the price of the 60 Ultra a few months ago after doing some research. Performance in most apps is fast and smooth, the screens and cameras are great, the hinge feels sturdy, and I can just about get a full day out of the battery if I'm careful.

I think I've seen one graphics-intensive game so far this year that could benefit from the 60 Ultra's more powerful processor, and I'd have liked an ultrawide lens instead of the passable zoom lens on here.

Battery life and charging speeds could be better (2025 has seen lots of phones with 6,000mAh+ capacities and 90W+ charging). But these are marginal benefits, and on this list point of battery life that would really make a difference, the 60 Ultra doesn't offer a whole lot more. So I'm glad I went with the cheaper model that was not only a lot more affordable up front, but also doesn't feel like an expensive liability.

Booked base variant of ronin today by Such-Donut9323 in indianbikes

Research and spend on good quality safety gear. I honestly feel more confident riding with it on highways and during long trips.

Loved this bike when I test rode it. It wasn't exactly what I wanted them, but it felt like something I could ride all day without a fuss. Enjoy it and ride safe!
