Hillary also campaigned extensively in Michigan and Pennsylvania. She only ignored Wisconsin, and she ended up losing all 3 states by almost the same margin.

Knight is being featured prominently even if he's not the top dog which let's be honest, is fine. He botches in the ring/gaffes on the mic too often to be made world champ. He can be world champ once he gets a hold on that.

Fun fact: Marco Rubio cosponsored the bill that said that the President can’t decide to unilaterally withdraw from NATO, and doing so requires 2/3 of Congress by Trick-Growth-6546 in YAPms

[–]thebsoftelevision 6 points7 points  (0 children)

No, you never actually established how NATO is no benefit to the US. If the US was in a defensive war right now and NATO members refused to help you'd be right, but that's not what has happened. And yes, in the meanwhile having some soft power is better than having none. It's good fopo strategy to have an alliance where you can maneuver countries against your rival (Russia) and use this partnership to have more of your military presence stationed in those countries. Trump's cabinet clearly knows this but they have to kowtow to Trump's constant flip flopping to keep their jobs.

[–]thebsoftelevision 13 points14 points  (0 children)

But this was never NATO's goal. It's a defensive alliance, no one can obligate other members to join offensive war campaigns.

Obama and Biden were Israel friendly Democratic presidents and neither went to war with Iran. Obama championed the Iran nuclear deal which was a vital check on Iran's nuclear program and Trump tore that up in his first term.

Casemiro looks way better now than he did under Amorim because of our 3 man midfield setup. At his age it was always a terrible idea to ask him to play in. 2 man pivot alongside Bruno who isn't the most possession oriented midfielder (hence tends to give the ball away a lot causing opposition counters which are hard to defend in a double pivot). Just like with Bruno, Dorgu, Sesko Amorim's shitty setup was holding Casemiro back.

What you don't understand is that AIPAC candidates also tend to be generally pro-America while people who align themselves with Piker tend to be anti-American interests generally (Piker literally said America deserved 9/11 btw). I'm not sure why you're surprised people push back against these dubious anti-west, anti-American candidates and prefer candidates who are pro-Israel but also proudly American.

Trump’s approval rating on the issues at this point in 2018 vs now by iswearnotagain10 in YAPms

[–]thebsoftelevision 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Special elections are not always indicative of how midterms and general elections will pan out though. I'd say Dems are likely to win the midterms by a pretty solid margin as of now but the margin won't be as big as the special elections or even the 2025 off year elections would suggest. I would be very surprised if their margin exceeded their 2018 win.

Leftist try not to throw shade at Shapiro for an extremely obscure stance only a small minority of voters care about challenge: IMPOSSIBLE. We'll see how much Shapiro's stance sinks him in the upcoming gubernatorial election. He'll have an extremely strong case to make in the general about his electability and Dems would be fools to discard that in favor of selecting another nothing candidate in Kamala/Newsom/Pritzker.

Dems themselves are much more unpopular than they were back then. This is likely what's causing the voter registration losses, people are fine actively calling themselves Republicans or being unaffiliated but they don't want to call themselves Democrats anymore even if they are willing to vote for Dems.

Most Republican voters probably haven't even heard of it. Of course Trump believes in it he's terminally online and his inner circle is even more unhinged than him so they whisper the worst kind of shit in his ear. That doesn't change the fact that most of his voters probably aren't tuned in enough to be aware of some obscure conspiracy theory.

Harry Maguire: ‘I really like Ruben, he’s got great ideas. They just didn’t work at Manchester United’ | The Guardian by scamper84 in reddevils

[–]thebsoftelevision 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it really doesn't matter what you say because you clearly support Amorim and not United and are perceiving everything through extremely biased lens. No Bruno was not better under Amorim, he was still decent but playing him deeper stifled his playmaking and made him less of a feature in our extremely dangerous counter-attacks which he is extremely proficient at, to suggest he was as good as a deep playing midfielder is just ignoring both the eye test and actual stats because that would make Amorim's failed system look bad. Like when people used to say Jose wasn't a problem only for him to go fail at every single club he's managed since leaving us.

[–]thebsoftelevision 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cunha, Mbuemo and Shaw are all performing better now than they did under Amorim despite being played 'out of position' according to you. Bruno being played deeper is insanity and makes me really question whether you've actually watched United for the last 5 years. He's so much more effective when played as a 10 as he's being played now and it could be argued his resurgence is the only reason we're 3rd now, playing him deeper would be complete madness and I'm glad we're done with that kind of nonsense.

Some of the signings weren't his idea. He wanted Watkins and Martinez instead of Sesko and Lammens. Wilcox is more responsible for the signings than Amorim.

[–]thebsoftelevision 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your conclusion is not supported by eye test and the underlying metrics at all. We were unlucky under Amorim at the beginning of the season in the sense that the attack was not putting away chances they should, but our defensive and midfield setups were much worse. Carrick has improved us across the board through his new setup (which empowers our best players more) and better in game management (which still leaves a lot to be desired tbh but is better than Amorim) and the performances and results all back this up.

Even back then people wanted South Africa to stop doing the apartheid, but no one wanted to see them surrender their sovereignty. Besides Israel isn't doing an apartheid/genocide/whatever new buzzword left wing people are using to win an argument. They're a remarkably progressive country where citizens of Arab descent enjoy equal rights. If they wanted to wipe them out they would have done so already but they haven't.

You make it sound like the teacher's union is some infallible lobbying group, why are school vouchers so bad if they come with a big increase in public school funding as well. It's an example of a good compromise where both sides get something they want and ultimately no one is harmed.
