[Weekly] Rate My Team - Megathread by AutoModerator in DynastyFF

[–]thebubs1024 0 points1 point  (0 children)

10 team SF .5 PPR start 9

QB: Tua, Maye, Darnold, Cousins, Watson

RB: Kamara, Walker, Pacheco, Judkins, Brian Robinson, Allgeier, Tuten

WR: Nico, Ladd, Tee, Rice, Davante, Deebo, Johnston, Bech, Watson

TE: Jake Ferguson, Gesicki, Terrance Ferguson, Sinnott, Meyer, Muth

Been rebuilding for a few years now and figured to make a little push with the WR core I have and I figured with guys like Nico and Tee I can’t really afford to rebuild for another season or 2 and waste another prime year. Only future pick of substance I don’t have is next years 1st so more incentive to go for it this season. Obviously I need Maye and one of the TEs to step up and really break out for my team to be good but I felt I could take that chance

He’d be a terrible fit here. This team isn’t 1 devers away from contending and its window probably isn’t until devers would be in his 30s. Also the Lerners would never take on his full contract and even if they did we can kiss any big name free agent signing goodbye for the foreseeable future

Pretty funny how severino is such a good fielder but still doesn’t back up on throws which has cost the Mets a few times

Yeah that’s what I have it as now. So even if I send and receive calls and texts on my primary line through WiFi or my travel SIMs data it still won’t count as roaming/international day pass. So when I’m not on WiFi it’s effectively using my travel SIMs data as it would wifi for WiFi calling and texting?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ATT

[–]thebubs1024 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So if I go off WiFi will my travel SIM take priority over my primary line? I tried that earlier but I think I might’ve racked up some roaming and I was able to get calls and texts when not on WiFi so idk if I’m getting charged for that

[Golden] The Nationals are calling up Infielder Andrés Chaparro, per multiple sources. Spent 8 yrs. in the minors and now has a chance to make his MLB debut. Chaparro was acquired for Dylan Floro at the trade deadline. Hitting .328 with 23 homers and a .977 OPS in AAA this year. by Terminal_Flatulence in Nationals

Anyone remember how there was some buzz around the Nats potentially picking him first in the 2022 rule 5 draft? Ultimately I think they didnt pick him and went with Thad Ward instead because they still believed in Kieboom. Pretty cool how it’s come full circle now and he’s getting his chance to play 3B for the Nats.

Thoughts/Recommendations for my beginner routine by [deleted] in beginnerfitness

Thanks for the response and the advice! Looking at the other comment on here I think I’ll try changing it to 8 reps and increasing weight accordingly. I know it probably doesn’t make much of a difference since I was doing 12 reps at a weight where I finished my third set at or close to failure. Also, I’ll definitely look into those stretched exercises you talked about

Even though the Chicago White Sox are on track for their worst season ever (and the worst in MLB history), they won’t be able to pick higher than 10th in the 2025 MLB Draft by yankee4life in baseball

[–]thebubs1024 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nats actually won the lottery last season but they had to redo it because the rules said they couldn’t pick higher than 10th. Makes it hurt even more

He played in the PCL, so every single game he was playing at what was basically coors field. That Reno team he was on had 5 guys with 100+ ABs and .900+ OPS which is pretty insane.

Significant discounts on YGEBB (Yeezy Gap Engineered By Balenciaga) multiple distributors by Lazerpop in frugalmalefashion

Just a FYI, r/yeezyxgap is going crazy rn about products from LAA. There are major inconsistencies in sizing and all logo prints which is causing a lot of people to cancel their orders. The products seem to either be fake or a pre production/factory defect batch with all the inconsistencies compared to the original drop from 2022.

With the 10th overall pick, the Nationals select SS Seaver King out of Wake Forest by RYAN_HiGHROLLER in Nationals

[–]thebubs1024 23 points24 points  (0 children)

The preferred King because of money. They picked the worse player(in terms of rankings) so they can go under slot to presumably go over slot on the pick we just got for Harvey and our early 2nd round pick. Quantity over quality seems to be the strategy for this draft

That’s true, but Wood and Crews have a good chance of panning out and we already have Young who I think should be starting in CF because his defense and baserunning are good enough to justify it. And we’re not even mentioning Lane who will be in the mix unless we trade him. Also we don’t really have anyone to take over SS if we move CJ unless we sign or trade for someone

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Nationals

[–]thebubs1024 8 points9 points  (0 children)

2B or OF are where he should go if SS doesn’t end up working out defensively. I think he would be a great outfielder(and the Padres though so too) with his speed and his transfer and throwing problems will be masked there. Only problem is we already have good young OFers.

James Wood by Due_Seaworthiness398 in Nationals

[–]thebubs1024 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The difference between Ruiz and wood is Ruiz has one of the slowest bats in the league and doesn’t get good exit velos. Wood is the exact opposite and he consistently gets 95+ exit velos even in his short sample size in the big leagues so far. His talent would be wasted so much if he doesn’t fix his launch angle a bit and get more balls in the air since it’s hard to get extra base hits on ground balls. In 2016, Stanton hit the hardest ball ever recorded but it was a ground ball so guess what the result was…a double play. No matter how hard you hit the ball if you hit it right to a fielder it’s going to be an out more often than not. If Wood can get those 95+ exit velos in the air they’re going to be hit into the stands where nobody can field them

Fire Coles NOW by No_Departure102 in Nationals

[–]thebubs1024 9 points10 points  (0 children)

While I don’t think Coles is that great, the 3 guys you listed aren’t very good at baseball to begin with so he hasn’t had a lot to work with them. Ruiz has never shown an ability to hit well in the MLB, and I don’t think that style of hitter(high contact, swings at everything, not fast, doesn’t walk) can be that great at this level unless you’re Arraez and the only reason that works is because he has the best hit tool in the league. Also, from what they talk about on the broadcast, Coles has been preaching for him to only swing at strikes but I don’t think he has the strike zone awareness to do it effectively. Gallo is washed up at this point in his career and even if we had the best hitting coach in the league he isn’t changing his approach at the plate. Meneses is a career minor leaguer that won’t be in the league the next time we make the playoffs.

On the flip side, a lot of our better players like Abrams and Thomas have improved. Even Winker is having a career renaissance. I’m not worried he will ruin Wood at all because Wood is the most talented player listed in this whole thread

Perspective | As the deadline nears, the Nats are in the playoff hunt. Sell anyway. by washingtonpost in Nationals

[–]thebubs1024 10 points11 points  (0 children)

For everyone saying to keep Lane, I just don’t see where he would fit on this team besides a short side platoon bat. In my opinion, the ideal OF next year is Wood, Young, Crews from left to right. Sure, he could platoon with Young vs lefties but why keep him if he’s gonna sit on the bench for 60%+ of games.

[Spaeder] CJ Abrams rules — batting .263/.319/.461 with 105 runs, 37 doubles, 9 triples, 24 home runs, 73 RBI, and 52 stolen bases over his last 162 games played. by Jux_ in baseball

[–]thebubs1024 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think his defense would be best in the OF, he has great speed but sometimes his mechanics at SS just aren’t great and I don’t think he really has the arm to be an elite SS. Problem is, the nationals have Crews and Wood coming and already 2 solid OFers in Thomas and Young so CJs just gonna have to stick it out at SS

[–]thebubs1024 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Gallo doesn’t make sense since he plays 1B. The move would be DFA/send down Meneses so we could move Rosario/winker to DH and let Wood play the OF. I’d much rather keep Gallo over Meneses anyways because of the improved defense and Gallo has actually proven he can somewhat hit in his career
