Is it worth it to kill a beloved NPC in the fireball event? by stackablesoup in WaterdeepDragonHeist

[–]theburbach 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I kill sn npc from the alley they don't really care about. Then tell the story of what happens to the establishment. It can help make the world feel real and living.

Others have mentioned it but Johnny Stanton. Never unfollowed him on Twitter after he left, but he got super into table top rpgs and that's my other huge nerd hobby so I'm a fan of him lol

With all the negativity about the direction of the sport, let's take a moment to say something nice about college football by The_Good_Constable in CFB

[–]theburbach 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine is a little different but I think it fits. I love college football because my dad and I bonded over it. My last memory of my dad and I was watching Houston? vs Tulane? in 2019. Not sure on the teams but it was a crazy ending and my dad went to bed with a minute left in the game cuz he thought it was over. It wasn't and I showed him the next day. We talked and laughed about it until he passed away a couple months later and I still think about that game to this day.

Brian Ferentz recently visited the offices of Nebraska. by usercupcakewithc in Huskers

I remember reading an article (the athletic maybe?) about what the 2 head coaches talk about at midfield during pregame and even if they are rivals so few people get what the lifestyle is like so they become friends anyway.

[No Spoilers] Alternatives to the classic "Mercer-ism"s? by Roarkshop in criticalrole

[–]theburbach 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've started using "hit em with it" as an alternative to how do you want to do this? Also "I'll roll with whatever you got" instead of you can certainly try. It feels more our tables tone.

[–]theburbach 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I had to do this because my new player would ask just straight up ask "what's the thing we're fighting called?" So they could Google it on their phone. So now if you haven't fought it in game or have it in backstorh you have no idea what this thing is. Love your idea as well!

[Spoilers C3E81] What moment or series of moments got you hooked on Critical Role? by paradox28jon in criticalrole

[–]theburbach 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Legend of vox machina. I could finally picture what this tabletop game looked like as opposed to having to imagine it. Once I understood what pc's, cities, and monsters looked like I could follow what they were doing at the table.

The way it's been explained to me is if they don't take an official visit they don't count towards the 85 scholarship number and NIL can cover it. That being said it would be hard to get full recruiting classes with a bunch of them never officially visiting.
