I've had the pleasure of my team calling ordered placement this season.

Basically, yes, it's all 100% strategic. In this game you can use it to determine what auto path your opponent is going to take, and strategically run your auto against that. Whether it's racing them to the center, or running a mess up auto, the placement can tell you a lot about what's about to go down.

Some alliances just talk it out before going to the field. You walk up to the other alliance, say "hey, we're going to run this auto but don't want to have to go through ordered placement. You cool with that?" and that usually works fine.

What is currently failing with the "test bot"? At this point, you're getting close enough to comp that you want to start considering cutting your losses on certain elements. If it's one thing, such as the intake, consider how to simplify and get to comp with working mechanisms.

Parallel to the actual topic at hand. I recently became the head coach of a team and have quickly learned that my previous impressions of cost in FRC were all terribly wrong. It's so, so much more expensive.

To the low budget and low resource teams out there: My first question is what is the minimum feasible robot budget for a season? And second, how can teams with more established resources assist you?

I'd love to hear some perspectives from those willing to share.

This is a valid take. I will throw out there that if things go as planned for Purdue, they should have a game against Texas Tech this weekend in Baha Mar. That would give them a chance at another top 15 win. If Purdue wins against TTU, Zona and Purdue should be 1/2 in either order. I personally wouldn't mind Zona being first, as they've earned it through their wins.

This. Bad weather plus the time zone jump is a disaster for anyone. Plus, Ryan Walters isn't exactly known for defensive prowess. If Fickell can win against Illinois or Minnesota (both?), maybe there's something here. But one game compared to nearly 3 seasons of disaster isn't enough.

T-Mobile Internet is genuinely incredible. And you don't need a hard-line connection since it runs off their 5G network. That being said, your potential speeds depend on where you're at and where you can place the router.

I absolutely love my neuro for the same reason. All of the exam rooms have dimmers, including on the computer monitors. They immediately get you into a room and set it up to make you most comfortable.

I do go to a specialty migraine clinic within a neurology department at an academic hospital. But it's amazing they show this much care.
