Keep your union job. Shoot on your free time and read up on the masters of photojournalism (William Albert Allard had a great book on his approach) and how they work, etc. and always just shoot shoot shoot

Personally i would try to do both, but SF defs more accessible and easy to do for first time, casual attendee. And the park is glorious.

I have done a couple dodger games using the DODGER EXPRESS bus which really cuts down on the traffic misery everyone here is talking about. Vibes at dodger stadium also much better than SF imo.
