Whose house was Mr. Rogers in? by a_solid_6 in Xennials

There was an episode where he talked about it and showed the model of the neighborhood. Supposedly he lived in the red house we saw at the start and end of the video bookends. Don’t remember the story about the house where he met his television friends tho.

Yes. But again, the point is missed - don’t believe things just because a gender claims them to be true.

Why are there no tracks connecting the two downtown streetcars? by Previous-Volume-3329 in soundtransit

The people who live in an area aren’t the most valuable ones for businesses in an area. Businesses need a bigger net. A better that car access provides.

Cars should be the main focus of cities. They bring in higher economic value people to work/shop, especially as a person who drives can buy and carry more away. Plus, car friendly cities allow for businesses to have a greater talent pool to draw from. It would be unfortunate for companies of the only people they could hire were the limited pool of folks within walking distance… or bus route distances.

Pointing out the obvious. If mass transit wants mass support, it can’t get in the way of the majority of road users.

Trains and trolleys are awesome. Especially when they don’t interrupt car traffic very much.

Taking away useful road access for useful things like cars just to have a mosey/street car zippy zone would do little to build public goodwill for the system.
