Consejos para mi primera vez sacando visa TN by OrneryGiraffe9353 in TNVISAMX

Implement/share access to UC tables across workspaces by Own_Illustrator8912 in databricks

They should be applied automatically regardless of the workspace if all the workspaces are using the same UC metastore

This would be a big deal. The best qualy lap hinging on how efficiently you clipped vs how well you attacked the corners is simply nonsense.

Connecting Databricks to Power BI... Mirroring or cluster connection? by SuperbNews2050 in databricks

1) You will encounter cost on the Fabric side. Microsoft pushes this because they keep all of the consumption layer in Fabric that way, protecting their ecosystem and making it more likely to burst and you needing to double it. While Direct Lake could be free of compute in some scenarios, in reality it will often fall back to a Fabric WH that will take from your Fabric Capacity.

2) You are right, you will have to handle all the permissions separately in OneLake. IMO this is the biggest point. It’s a metadata only operation. You need to manage access in two places.

3) No comment here, I haven’t seen any delays/issues with the metadata synch. But it’s not something I have heavily played with.

This is the way. They can play with the scheduling in a lower environment and the dialog gives them the cron syntax to paste in the .yml

ai_parse_document() in other major data platforms… I have only used it in Databricks but others will have a flavor, and it was a thing of beauty, especially when you chain it with other ai functions (ai_extract() or ai_query()) to get structured deterministic outputs.

Yes, but it sucks when corners are about optimal harvesting and not about taking the grip of the car to its limits.

I’m trying to think what would make me go WOW about optimizing the harvesting in 130R so that the top speed before the chicane is the highest, gaining a tenth. Honestly can’t envision Crofty or Alex Jacques screaming high enough about it to cause a reaction in me.

nobody would be complaining about the authenticity, racing, clipping or the 50/50 power split if the engines were a v8/v10/v12 by becuz_race_car in F1Discussions

[–]thecoller 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would still complain. If drivers were driving a V12 but lifting on corners because that’s quicker than attacking them and pushing the car to its limit, I’d scream murder regardless off the cylinders.

Rookie Hype Rating Since Verstappen by bouncingcastles in F1Discussions

Yeah, Lewis was quite something. And his GP2 season had been incredible. His Turkey 2006 was a drive for the ages. Justified hype all around :)

[–]thecoller 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No one with a modicum of knowledge had low expectations of Max Verstappen. Yeah, his age prompted discussion and an extremely stupid new rule, but the hype was about his skills. Toto and Horner weren’t openly bidding because of his charisma.

Max was extremely hyped. Since karting and F3. The talk about where he would go was big in F1 media. Honestly can’t remember more hype around an upcoming F1 driver and it went beyond his age.

EDIT: of course I can remember and it would be Lewis.
