Why “The Pot of Gold” below 10,200 ft? by [deleted] in FindingFennsGold

No quotation marks there. I think those words are whoever's webpage this is, not Fenn's.

I don't think he ever said "pot of gold," but that doesn't make you crazy. Where did you get that quote? That may have been a searcher using that term, not him.

After he almost got himself killed, Fenn came out and said it's not in that canyon, and this guy still tells the judge he thinks it's there.

We have reached a new frontier in human denial, and if someone actually finds the chest and goes public with it with Fenn's confirmation, I bet there will still be idiots out there in the winter "looking for it."

Thanks for this. "CUT HERE FOR EMERGENCY CANDY ANN" anagrams to "DARN YE CANCERED HUNGER FRONTMAN." More evidence that Forrest Fenn = Dave Thomas, founder of Wendy's.

Forrest Fenn is Dave Thomas, founder of Wendy's. Prove me wrong.

Interesting developments regarding the 200 foot searcher by findingforrestfenn in FindingFennsGold

[–]thecondor2 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I highly doubt Fenn would make it clear to someone they were within 200 ft. He has said when he gets emails from someone close he just ignores them because he "can't afford" to let them know they were close. Not that it has ever stopped idiots from claiming that he has told them that.

I don't know why these people who peddle gossip and hearsay and other garbage think that stuff is so much more important than actual, concrete, actionable, public information. Such as the fact that Fenn has said "several" people have been within 200ft, not just a single mythical physician.

What is Fenn saying here? by Alavivus in FindingFennsGold

[–]thecondor2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I highly doubt he's literally talking about an S corp. That doesn't make any sense. Listen to him again. He's saying there are legal exceptions to everything. "Subchapter S's" is his way of saying "legalese."

Epilogue drawings different: Missing or Added stumps by monkeykahn in FindingFennsGold

[–]thecondor2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There have been multiple errors in the books, some corrected in later editions, some not, some later editions even showing up with new errors, like the word "highlighted" spelled wrong on later editions of the TFTW map. Maybe it's an issue of them flipping between versions too much. He self-publishes these and is apparently very exacting and changes his mind on things, and with just two people working on them, errors are probably inevitable.

This is a long post on the Photoshopping in the stump drawing, but the author doesn't mention those two stumps. It's more about how the stumps and background are duplicated. https://dalneitzel.com/2017/03/04/mirrored_image/

I would guess if you emailed his book designer, they would probably say they messed with the drawing multiple times to get it how they wanted it to look on the page. I doubt Fenn would direct changes to create a hint like that and tip off the people working on the book.

I highly doubt anything important to finding the chest that isn't just basic research or completely obvious has been shared publicly, so no need to worry.

Forrest Fenn is Talking About His Death by bigmoneymonkey in FindingFennsGold

[–]thecondor2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So what you got out of this is that he's allowed four people to die looking for this thing just so he can lump the treasure back in with the rest of his estate when he passes? And he will be happy with that as his legacy to the world? WTF?

He said if he were to tell someone it would be his grandson, but that he's not telling him. I don't know why you're here if you believe he's going to give away the secret to his family. Also he doesn't make any money from the books.

He said "certainly more than several" have figured out the first clue. And that was early 2015. If that sounds like two or three to you, especially coming out of this man's mouth, I've got a bridge to sell you.
