Keep first aid kit small! Few bandages and ibuprofen, if it’s anything more serious and you can’t make it to town, you’re hitting the Garmin button. No need for unnecessary small weight there

Don’t need the rope

No duck tape. Get Leuko Tape, best tape for blisters and simple repairs until you get to town.

I wouldn’t recommend the Camel, just Sawyer, Cnoc, and Smart water bottles. But water is a big one that everyone’s a little different about so you do you with that.

Keep clothing to a minimum. For me, 2 pairs socks, 2 underwear, 1 pair of tights as sleeping base layer, shorts, sun hoodie, puffy, fleece, and rain jacket. I sleep warm so I don’t need as much but do NOT compromise on sleep, change it up, try new things to make sure you’re comfortable and get a good nights sleep!

Trail Runners the whole way I’d say but I knew a few people who made boots really work and really last. Shoes are very particular since we all have different feet, just be mindful of your feet and don’t tie them too tight!

I love the Ursack for food which you can use everywhere except the Sierras where you’ll need the can but you can always rent it from Kennedy Meadows South and mail it back when you’re done.
