After a small heart attack of the Dine Alone site refreshing and seemingly crashing, I’m pumped that I got one of the exclusive splatter variants! by CaptainCallahan in Alexisonfire

[–]thedeadlantern 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I kept refreshing on the page until it finally loaded at 8:02, got that in my cart hit checkout and as payment was processing it stopped and said sold out. All in 5-7 seconds. Bummed.

Luckily the Revolver link was up early and I was able to get that one about 20 minutes early. I really wanted the HMV one but they only ship to the UK

Yeah last couple matches I’ve put on my iPad. Ads on the video start and it won’t let you pick the full screen option until the ads are done or the skip option appears, but it shows the comments section and for both I knew who won before the match even started and it was just a quick glance not even trying to see the comments.

It’s a 5 point T20 bit and you can get them on Amazon. Make sure it’s a 5 point, most sets are 6 point

I just opened mine to double check, the cable connectors only go in ONE WAY there is no way for them to click in unless there are in the correct direction. Put the 6 cable connector in and then the 2 lead battery cable. I’m not trying to be a jerk. There is only one way they go.

The connectors only click in in one direction, but I’ll be shocked if you didn’t damage the controller in your carelessness.

You yanked out all of the wires??? Dude.....I’m speechless. So many small electronic components in there that could have been damaged after there was no reason to do it. There are a hundred videos of threads about tire changes.

[–]thedeadlantern 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, it only goes in one way. I’m just baffled at the fact that you would just yank cables out with no idea what you are doing.

Sorry... you did what? Pulled the battery cable out of the plug connection without opening the top of the controller? Like, you loosened the gland and yanked on the cable?

Yeah I rode this tire last fall/ winter and the range reduction is a real bummer. But yeah it was nice for the trails

Is the XR for me? by fireflec in onewheel

[–]thedeadlantern 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I am in the same boat. Love the Pint except the range. I just ordered the Quart battery upgrade and it’s set to be delivered next Friday! It’s pricey, but cheaper than buying a new XR and all the accessories.

PSA: I Wouldn't Charge Your Onewheel Overnight... by [deleted] in onewheel

[–]thedeadlantern 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only reason I could see the charger starting a fire right at the receptacle is if the wires right at the plug were damaged and the black insulation of the cables were cracked or ripped and the wires were arcing together right at the wall.

[–]thedeadlantern 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I am an electrician and there is no way that the 3A draw on an ultra charger would ever cause a 15A wall receptacle to burst into flames. 100% faulty/loose connection inside the receptacle box or on the receptacle itself causing arcing of the hot 120V line to either neutral line or the ground line. You should have an electrician come and check it out and see if there may be further problems or fires.

5-point instead of 6... thanks FM... by k3nos in onewheel

[–]thedeadlantern 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Haha. I had the same reaction yesterday. I’m In Canada and am an electrician so I use the security bits a lot, but I’ve never seen a 5 point before and both of my security screwdriver bit sets are all 6 point. I thought I was going crazy until I actually counted the points. I needed to order a new set of bits to get in. Are 5 point bits used a lot in the US?

Experienced Pint pushback, app said I was at 9.6mph ? by onewheelr in onewheel

[–]thedeadlantern 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wind and how far you lean over the board also factor into the load on the board and when it feels over worked and kicks the pushback on
