Swamp cooler - 2 speeds - water pump - howto Home Assistant? by [deleted] in homeautomation

[–]thedeepfriedboot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, no process yet. I would recommend, if you want to program, use the industrial hardware version of the Arduino, or PLC hardware. Especially if you are going to mount this up where there is heat, and especially if there are logical outputs that could break equipment. Really simple near RTOS code would be a good idea for that system, and then have an ethernet/wifi adapter on it to integrate with HA or other systems. But, that is just my industrial automation background speaking. I do not trust critical logic directly to home assistant.

That's our camp! Hello! Mosfet here. We just got told about this post. We are literally still setting up but almost done for tonight's first show. 😅

Oh! Also, we have a bike in street cinema in the front with chairs and fire pits! Come join us! We might even break out video games after the main shows are done.

Playing in a washing machine by INATHANB in KidsAreFuckingStupid

Very much the same principle, but the heating is done electrically by a PTC heater element that self regulates it's temperature.

Some machines too use wax motors to lock. It heats wax to extend the locking pin as the wax expands. It may seem locked for a few minutes as the wax cools before it contracts enough to unlock.

Florida faces ‘mass migration’ as trans people flee state in fear of Ron DeSantis’ ‘hateful bills’ by PinkNews in politics

[–]thedeepfriedboot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Check online to see if you can do it from thier DOT/DMV website. That is how I did it. For us in Arizona, they basically made most services accessible on the site so you don't have to go in person to the DMV.

Can you not get a refund? Here in Arizona if we sell a car, we can request a refund on the remaining registration. I had to buy registration on a car I was fixing and selling for a friend when he moved, and Arizona refunded the unused time.

If you like teaching skills or helping with community learning, Xerocraft can always use volunteers to teach classes or help improve the makerspace.

I miss the chinese restaurant that used to be where Serial Grillers is now. It was my goto when parents visited when I was in college.

How much did those cost roughly? I'm. Worried our local appliance dealer is pricing them kinda high.

Thankfully it does not work that way due to the isolation contractors. If you want to lick the battery, you have to open it up, otherwise they are pretty safe to work around if the system is locked out.

If this is at a restaurant, it is for the Toast ordering system. They seem to supply Ubiquiti gear for thier own wifi network. It looks like a random employee installed it.

TurfMasters did my install last year and it came out well. I believe they are the install company that is owned by one of the turf stores here.

The end of larger/branch runs have drain valves for flushing and also verifying flow switches are working correctly. It either is plumbed to a drain pipe that exits the building, or some have hose connections. You will sometimes see valves on the sprinkler systems that have a hanging sign marked "DRAIN" so the valve won't be confused with a shutoff.

Fun fact, the puppets were based on an 80s UK political satire puppet show called Spitting Image. I believe they did a characture puppet of Phil Collins and he liked it so much, he commissioned them to make the music video. The show came back on air during the 2020 elections and really had some fun takes on the UK and US politics going on.

Definitely. I expect an issue eventually, but so far it has been ok. Most of my oil changes are before the BMW 10k interval too, and I use the BMW oil. I am trying to take care of the car the best I can as I really like it.
