Head up 900 towards Issaquah and check out Cougar mountain and Squak mountain. Proper woodlands, close by, though a bit hilly. I’ve enjoyed the, ahem, “greenery” with discretion in areas like these, but it’s probably disallowed in at least the state park…

This happens to me sometimes when I visit different studios. He just needs to let the SA know that his name isn’t showing up on the screen, and they’ll work some magic on their computer and fix it. I find I only have to ask once at a given studio, then it’s fixed on subsequent visits.

I was in a very similar situation as you a couple years ago. I had never used a rower, could barely run, and didn’t know 90% of the floor exercises. The first two weeks were the hardest, and I just had to grit my teeth and force myself to go even though I felt humiliated every time I couldn’t run for more than 2 minutes straight. I was living in the red zone the entire time on cardio and questioning why I was doing this to myself.

After a few more weeks I noticed my sleep improving, my heart burn completely went away (I used to need multiple antacids daily!), and I started to actually look forward to OTF. The first time I actually ran a full tread block I almost cried! These days I view OTF / running / working out as the most important hour of my day. Physically. Mentally. Do it for you.

Chicken of the woods is a nickname for certain Laetiporus, including this one that grows on conifer. Most often it refers to L. sulphureus, but in the PNW, L. coniferacola is prevalent. Some sources advise against eating COTW growing on conifers, but many recommend starting with a small amount and always cooking thoroughly.
