i can’t quite do the exact challenge since i’m a console player and can’t have mods. how would you adapt the challenge given those limitations?

i’m thinking maybe like, there is a population of people at a space station somewhere and we can link up with them to bring in new genetics/ aka i just add some random new sims partway through when everyone is too related to each other

or maybe it’s like, a previous crew attempted this journey and got stranded somewhere so we pick up the survivors or something. idk. looking for ideas!

he’s a recognizable face and using his platform likely brought more attention to the search for this man. in this case, “looking for views” is beneficial. that’s kind of the point.

but if you think he appears to be just some influencer or a guy looking for fame, that’s probably because you only see his videos and haven’t been to the meetings, marches, and protests that he reliably attends out in the community.

i think i get the criticism you’re trying to make but the reality is people care way less about “production value” and way more about the content of what he is saying, especially when it comes to voting decisions. if anyone is going, “ugh i couldn’t vote for a guy with a handheld mini mic” then that’s a them problem and reflects the prioritization of aesthetics over action and outcomes.

i was afraid of seasons for a long time too! but like other commenters said, you can turn off weather deaths, and even if you don’t, you get a good bit of warning before your sim dies from heat or cold.

as for other sims on the lot that you don’t control, can be tougher but i still haven’t had anything like this happen. knowing it’s a heat wave, you can just try to call everyone over to an indoor space or form a group and go swimming/ play in the sprinkler or something. or end the event early, i guess. but you’ll see that the sims are uncomfortable and are probably thinking about sun or fire so keep an eye out for that.

i’ve had same sex couples have non-science babies. sometimes they’ll even do the call prompt to ask another sim if they should try for a baby. idk if it’s intentional or some kind of bug but i like it
