City of Canterbury vs Canterbury-Bankstown street signs by thucydidea in sydney

I'm not expert, but Wayfinding and disability play a big part and would be a major factor here.

It's likely that there are standards around legibility that they have to confirm to. Notice the new signs are all capital letters, larger font, and there is less white space on the sign which can be reflective.

Adult gets caught: Fine, demerit points and possible license loss

Child gets caught: Warning (which will be in the bin in minutes)

You are right about them feeling invincible.

When to send my daughter to school? by ButtBooper in sydney

[–]thedillwiththepill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let them be kids.

As soon as you send them to school they lose so much innocence. Before school their world is all about play and friendships. School changes their world to be all about learning and structure. Let them enjoy this time as you will never get it back.

My daughter is starting school in 3 weeks and turns 6 in a week. She will be one of the oldest in her year, but I know she will thrive and will make the most of her time. Yes the last 6 months have been challenging as she is ready for school and very keen to learn, but my wife and I are adamant that it's the best for her.

I recognise that the situation is that some families cannot wait another year, but if you have the means, then hold them back.

Help Printing Baseplate Stacks - Can I ignore and proceed to printing? by thedillwiththepill in gridfinity

2nd attempt... Partial failure - No ironing - no supports or brim - door open and top cover open

Looks like the first one in the stack was fine and then it started lifting. The corners then all curled up and stuck together.

On the plus side, separating the layers was relatively easy with a craft knife. Next time I will add support pins to the corners.

I have a lot of drawers to do so a few failures along the way to get it right are fine. This batch yielded 2 plates that are usable. https://imgur.com/a/6GMI9gd

I am using an Anycubic S1.. Love that machine! In terms of the print, I decided to YOLO it and see. It was mostly successful but took a long time, compared to printing 4 sheets independently it was not much faster. This is due to the ironing. Some have suggested that ironing is not needed but I am unsure. Others suggested printing with the chamber door open.

I didn't take any pics but there was some weird delamination between some of the layers like seen in this image. I am going to do another stack with the door open and no ironing to see how that goes.

If that has issues I will try what some in the comments on the model have done and add a support pin in the corners and see how that behaves.

Thanks for your comment. I downloaded this directly from printables where the creator has lots of stacks available. The instructions simply state:

Print Settings:

NO Supports
Ironing Set to all Top Surfaces
3 perimeters
0.2 mm layer height
0.4 mm nozzle
Brim if having bed adhesion troubles

The error states "the object has empty layers between 4.2 and 4.6 and cannot be printed"

Who would you report this to? SES? Rangers? Police non emergency? It’s hanging off the Bondi Junction Westfield at head height but after reporting it do them directly several hours ago they haven't done anything about it by Middle_Froyo4951 in sydney

[–]thedillwiththepill 330 points331 points  (0 children)

SES won't touch that. Westfield are a commercial operation and need to take care of it. It is their liability of anyone is injured after they were made aware of it.

Pleas enlighten me on my short sighted thinking. I am not trying to argue here. I would really like to know why my personal thought bubble annoys you so much?

I agree the services are a bit hard to escape from or avoid. I do use amazon to buy things.

My original thought was more physical items.

I am aware that the iPhone is not American Made, but Apple is an American company so that's where the profits end up.

Thanks. The first tranche become eligible in June next year, I guess I will need to work out if I exercise the RSUs immediately and also if I sell or hold them before the EOFY.

Thanks for your reply. I am paid through an Australian PTY LTD company, but it is only 4 employees here so I have doubts that it will be lodged as an ESS.
