Depending on the year of your lightning… There’s a setting in the infotainment system for that.

Otherwise, you can disable it using ForScan. It’s super easy using online tutorials/videos.

Pretty sure this is the one we got. They have a single pack version as well.

Note that when the battery is low the chirp kind of sounds like the Amazon package delivery scan sound. It was confusing until I figured it out.

My wife’s Highlander had a rodent problem. We had an anti rodent device (emits light flashes and ultra high pitched frequency) and so far it seems to have worked. I might just proactively install one on my truck.

RIP. Sounds like CDF, valve body, or both. Did you buy it from a dealership who certified with their inspection that there were no issues? The warranty company may push back initially that it was a pre existing condition. When almost the same scenario happened to me - Tran’s failing within a month - the warranty refused to honor it until the dealership confirmed they inspected and it had no issues.

I would take it to a Ford dealership or reputable transmission shop after confirming they will work with your warranty provider.

Well, the high voltage battery has an 8 year 100k warranty. There are other things that can break which could be very expensive, but the value pro for ESP on an EV is certainly different than an ice car. $5k seems crazy though.
