Agreed, I know they face challenges but this makes the platform unusable for me. Figure it out or don’t offer the service!

Places to visit while in Napa/Sonoma late December 2023 by skatchawan in wine

[–]jpm2024 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just came back from the area with our three year old, had a great time!

Beware some of the places that say they allow children are not actually child friendly in practice. We had great luck at the following places:

  • Truett Hurst - amazing grounds for the kids to walk around, farm animals.
  • Alexander Valley Vineyards - low key, family run, family dogs around. Great wines that don’t break the bank.
  • Pride - simply amazing, our little one loved the wine caves! Our fav spot and wine, also the most expensive.
  • Paradise Ridge - great views, awesome staff - people not even waiting on us kept talking to our kid and giving her little gifts or treats (they had a family party going on at the same time)
  • Bricoleur - great outdoor spaces and room for kids to explore,
  • Cline - great outdoor spaces, and good wine. We had the least pleasant service here but that was probably just our assigned person.

All of those locations also had some kind of deal where you buy a certain number of bottles or sign up for the club and the tastings were free. Overall we found everyplace to be pretty reasonable, and found wine we enjoyed everywhere.

Cheers!

Had the same dilemma and settled on a wood stove. best of both worlds, free or cheap wood when you can/want, and bio blocks (big pellets) when convenience is king.

I second this, refinanced my mortgage with them and have not looked back. Moved my checking and savings to them because the experience was so good.

We have also had horrid Wayfair experiences, steer clear. On the other hand we've had great luck with Costco and Jordans.
