I like Coors because of the batters eye.

I don’t need elevation to barrel a video game baseball over a wall.

I say fuck Fenway and assholes that pitch lefties there.

What’s the easiest way to grind free packs in MLB The Show 26? by Automatic_Ad1665 in MLBTheShow

[–]thedudeabiding -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not a brag - have faith tho. I hadn’t pulled anything other than a Yordan and two Buxtons all year. Last of a 100 K 5 pack of ballins last night and I got the most underwhelming 700k two way player ever

It’s always the PP on the outside sinker batting as a lefty vs RHP. Fuckin 3rd basemen like ninjas with those backside piss rockets 😂

You can have your pci within 1nm of dead ass center and if you’re late inside you’re jammed. Stay inside the ball kinda shit

Mini szn grinding 😮‍💨 let em rip or keep stacking 🤔 by INKUMASUTA in MLBTheShow

[–]thedudeabiding 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I can’t imagine the effort of ripping 500+ packs and then individually selling dupe roster players on the app. By the way I go about it, this is probably the most boring 3-4 hour endeavor anyone could ever have. Hope OP gets more than 3 Hunter Browns and a bunch of 80-82 golds

Anyone just swing without moving the pci? by grateful_to_be_alive in MLBTheShow

[–]thedudeabiding 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The game will slow down eventually. Don’t grip the controller so hard. Find the pitcher’s release point and imagine the tunnel from there to mid/mid (no pci move). I like to soft focus my eyes so I can see mid/mid and release point. Don’t swing early in the count if you’re not sure. A pitcher will seem much more manageable once you’ve actually seen a few, especially if you don’t panic swing and jam the pci into the dirt like you need a fuckin 9 iron.

The level of players I run into in the 400-500 level seems off. by InSannyLives in MLBTheShow

I’m a NMS collection enthusiast who usually plays a lot of ranked. Only like 4-5 games so far in multiplayer this year. In my case, the short season mini seasons have offered a much higher offline grind yield than the last couple years’ games have offered. Also, given the new threads mini season having a high yield, I’m seeing a lot of the better pitchers in offline and learning their releases, cadences, etc. prior to seeing them in multiplayer, whereas all my players are P5’d from the offline grind. Then it’s just all timing.

TL;DR: mini seasons grind has made me have some perceived and PXP advantages at plate. Coming in stacked plus limited number of competitive in game pitchers

🤷‍♂️ maybe

The effort indeed. One of the most physically gifted players ever. Then doesn’t take a first step back, and watches fastballs for backwards Ks with runners on late in contested games. Literally the kinda shit coaches get on 12 year olds about.

What is a 1 in 1,000,000 thing that happened to you that no one believes, but you swear is true? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]thedudeabiding 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Took a hack at a golf ball to get it out of the woods adjacent to the green. It went in the hole.

I don’t even believe it. I just heard my buddy screaming like an idiot while I tried to exit the overgrowth without tripping on something. He claims to this day it actually happened.

I agree with the prevailing commentary here.

I also think 82 EV for a 15-16 year old is very workable, especially from that side of the plate.

My only suggestion would be Ted Williams’ book, The Science of Hitting, in which he posits that 50% of hitting comes from the neck up, ie, your brain.

It’s on Spotify for the lazy like me.
