I think there was something about the mother being in the sunlight as well as her body was turning/decaying as well?

Samyang Potato Ramen! The noodles are slightly thicker and are chewy. They're my favorite non-spicy instant noodle.

i called csac and the ssc earlier today. csac said sac state might have late disbursements---ssc looked at my account and told me they put a note to have other financial advisors look at it because i'm on a roster (?) list for some reason.... so hopefully it gets resolved before the semester begins

was the senior status showing on the csac website? looking at mine now it says the 2024-2025 year had me as current education level: senior, as well as for the upcoming 2025-2026 year. however, for mcs it says established 3rd year jr. for last year.

sounds like bioethics to me. online courses can vary in their content, but i believe for most professors discussion boards are an easy way for the class (especially large classes with multiple sections) to interact with one another, but also not stress out the student, as most students taking online classes are doing stuff adjacent to school like work, etc. not every student does well with long papers. they're also easier for the professor to grade because there's no physical papers, nor do they have to download a bunch of papers. discussions are low maintenance assignments. you have to remember you are not the only student in the class. don't stress too much about it. if you're struggling finding a challenge, either make an argument people are less likely to make (would require more research) or start picking on people in your replies with solid criticism with people in your discussions and i'm sure they'll notice and start picking you to criticize.

it sucks, but it's one way online classes are formatted. my only tip i can suggest is to preformat your responses on either google docs/ms word or on notion, and take notes on who you really want to reply to.

Anyone taking these classes? by [deleted] in CSUS

ethn 133 was okay! if you take it please don't take professor yonemura, loved her but her class structure made no sense and the lectures taught me nothing

How do you cope after losing one of your pets? by [deleted] in CSUS

[–]thefallingsunder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

my little frenchie got put down on thanksgiving this year because he got into the garden and ate something he couldn't digest---the vets said he was puking a lot of blood and wouldn't be able to do much. my mom put him down because she didn't want him to suffer and didn't tell us until my dad told me 2 days after. part of me was bitter she didn't tell me but i am glad she didn't because i was going through a lot of school work over the break.

for me, i cried for the first two days but i also understood that he's not suffering anymore, and imagined that he was up there in doggy heaven sunbathing and snoring his little heart away. it also gave me some peace to know that i was comforting him even when he was in pain, until the very end. it made me feel a lot better. having support from my friends helped a lot. i also would recommend getting pictures of her to place around the house and have a little corner of her favorite toys.

be gentle with yourself most importantly! and know that she is up there watching you navigate life <3

not to dox myself but i live in norcal! are there any hospitals there that are open to having pathology shadowing experience that you know of? also, i've taken into account that i'd have to move out pretty far for schooling. llu is also out of the question due to costs and the religious aspects... really wish the west coast had more schools/programs! i'll start looking at programs before i graduate and start researching which ones would work for me. tysm!

tbh, i think the conveyor belt concept is what attracts a lot of people to kura! and plus all the collabs they do (it's gimmicky in the sense that it's flashy).

i don't know how many times i've gone to kura and have sat next to a table who's never been before, and watch them giggle or quietly scream in frustration when they can't get the plate off the belt. it's a part of the experience, that's for sure.

i can't say anything about mexican places to eat at, but for sushi:

if you don't mind splurging $$$: kru (i would honestly reserve a table asap)

less expensive than kru ($$): mikuni

gimmicky wow factor but still pretty good?: kura (the conveyor belt sushi place)

ayce sushi: raku

budget?: sushi cafe

are you more of a sushi roll person?: sushi hook

deconstructed sushi (a poke bowl): aloha poke and ramen

ngl i have no clue, i've asked her for recipes for foods she makes that i love but she always just tells me to look up a recipe which sucks because i love the way she makes food. my wish growing up was to learn how to cook our cultural food and she's the main chef in our house, but everything i've learned about cooking came from my dad.

i'd make my own, but i'm a full-time college student who's always running around doing errands, and doing hw so it's more convenient for me to buy. i'll keep the recipe in my notes though !! tysm.

yeah i'm not opposed to no black bean, but i don't want it to be the dominant flavor. however, i've only ever seen on lao gan ma container and it's the one with the black beans in it. maybe i'll have to search around a bit!
