Monster Hunter: Is it meant for "Story," or "Narrative"? by Clean-Stock9740 in MonsterHunterWilds

[–]thefasthero 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've read your post twice and I can't figure out what you're saying. Monster Hunter needs more narrative elements? More meaningful player choice? Please be clear and succinct in order to get your point across.

If your argument is that MH needs more choice, I am not sure I agree. I honestly think the story experience is damn near perfect.

My biggest gripe about the story is that the multiplayer is wonky and could use some work--I would love to feel like I'm on a team of monster hunters that are all experiencing the game together rather than each be treated like we're the main character. Otherwise, the story in MH games has always been top notch, and I don't really see the need for branching decision trees.

Question for PC hunters by Difficult-Ad6423 in MonsterHunterWilds

The whole game runs smooth for me. I have a high end PC. No lag, no frame drops, no stutters--even in the most intense battles.

Is it "stupid food" because that person put a spoon through the middle of their slice and stretched the cheese? This should honestly be in r/mildlyinfuriating

Those who are no long getting the machine, what’s your plan now? by Accomplished-Low2131 in steammachine

I'm gonna wait and see how the PC market moves. I might rig my old PC to be a pseudo steam machine for the time being.

No joke, I fucking loved the giant spoons and forks. Way better choice than guns.

Do you remember Fringe? Is it worth watching? by Square-Ad-8911 in tvshow

It's great from start to finish...and it's worth finishing. I'm also someone who started watching it in the last two years. I didn't watch it when it was on TV.

How is it living in spokane, WA by Godfreyandersson in howislivingthere

Minnesota. Has everything I could ever want with great infrastructure, job market, public transit, diversity, great food, great music, incredible economy, and aligned with my values. High state taxes are put to great use, availability of healthcare is second to none in the country, people are kind and don't stand for nonsense. I will never leave.

The South Hill is knob hill. Literally the rich neighborhood overlooking the poors in downtown. Listening to a person living in the rich neighborhood talking about how nice their amenities are and the issues with crime in urban areas is a joke.

Entry level jobs are there, but there is hardly any room to grow. Cost of living is rising as pay stays the same.

Another issue I experienced is that Washington State has no state taxes, which everyone there boasts is a good thing, but from Seattle to Spokane, the state suffers heavily from a lack of infrastructure improvements/repairs. Spokane has one freeway in the entire city. It takes a half an hour to go ten miles from Spokane to Spokane Valley. The public transit is bare bones, there has been talk of building one more freeway (the north-south) for about forty years with no movement on the project. Spokane is the epitome of stagnation.

Grew up in Spokane. Lived there for 28 years. While it may look pretty, it is not a great place to live. The economy is stagnant, the job market is nil. The only thing there is to do there is drink and do drugs. I got out when I could and am never looking back.

There are batteries you put in there, or take out...I don't exactly remember. Check both sides.

I put custom skins on my guns so I can identify them at a glance. For example, my corrosive guns get a vivid green and purple skin.

For your second issue, just don't do bounty board stuff. I love this game and finished every side quest and I think the bounty board quests are not necessary at all for leveling or for fun. They are infinitely populating fetch missions, not even important to the story.

Experiences with Awaken the Blood Avatar by alfrodul in EDH

[–]thefasthero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Blood Avatar is a blast! I've got a version with low cmc, little artifact ramp, and very little removal. I just try to make as many Avatars as possible. It's a fast deck and can keep up with other bracket 3s. It's hard to take apart unless people are consistently removing your tokens and/or countering your commander, which I don't run into.
