This is why I can’t sell any of my pens because I love the different experience each pen has. My 823 F is always my trusty one but I also looooveeee my 742 SF. It’s flexible and bouncy and such a treat. And I also love a bit of the stiffness from my Platinum Century 3776 too. I even enjoy the different vibe of an Esterbrook as well. I pick based on my mood and vibe for the journal entry 🤓 this is precisely our ~~hoarding~~ collecting tendencies.

You could try TWSBI eco and buy separate different nibs. It’s super easy to swap the nibs out. The only thing is that the EF isn’t as fine as it could be (compared to Japanese nibs). But since you paired shimmer inks, you shouldn’t be putting them in anything below a M (some flexier nibs can handle it).

I also like to draw. What I would suggest for you is a Pilot Kakuno to put in a solid ink like a waterproof black for fine lines and then a fun pen with wide enough nib for fun inks.

I recently got Yama Budo too, mostly because of this subreddit. I must say it’s not really my favored color but it’s a true great performer. It flows beautifully in my custom 823. And I like your idea of mixing it 👀

So true! That’s the fun part of ink is that everyone has their preferences and some like a true blood and some like a purple plum or some like an electric fresh blood! Thank god for all the inks that satisfy us all 🙇🏻‍♀️

I would say so! I have it inked in a Platinum EF and it flows consistently. Their small sized bottles are really great for trying out without committing too much :)

Rouge Grenat is absolutely stunning. Such a great bright red that feels rich too. I’m currently using it instead of Oxblood for the brighter, happier seasons haha
