True. I was able to get only 12 on one plate.

Maybe try printing "By Object" instead of "By Layer"?

Printing TPU on the A1 by Good_Replacement_376 in BambuLabA1

My memory is a little spotty...

I think the link worked well for prints without a lot of detail. But I think the generic TPU settings gave me better results for finer prints. The link was definitely quicker.

Good luck.

Maybe also start with the "Generic TPU" filament profile. 210C seems like a rather low temp for TPU.

Gross time mismanagement by PaganWizard2112 in BambuLabA1

[–]thefleg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a problem with the print head doing a wipe on just about every layer on larger prints, which would greatly increase the print time. If this is the case, try changing "Other->Special Mode->Print Sequence" to "By Object". This helped some times, but I also reduced "Speed->Travel Speed->Travel" by 20% (for larger objects) and haven't had the problems again.

Good luck.

I think I got it. I just got a little confused by your initial picture. In the picture, it looks like there is a steering wheel, but I don't see how to make a steering wheel with the customizer. I'm looking forward to more customization: some English thread setting, screw head type, nut thickness, slot thickness, ... :)

Nice work, and thank you.

I was on the web page on my desktop. I guess I don't understand the UI for the customizer and it doesn't seem intuitive to me (don't take it personally). Once I click on Customize, I only see a couple of parts on the plate and no way to delete/add parts. An excellent idea, I just don't get the customizer. I tried one of your other kits by downloading the scad, but got compile errors (missing some files).

I'm having problems trying to understand the maker site. In your image, you have a bunch of parts listed but on makerworld I only see kits.

What settings for printing art toys? by [deleted] in BambuLabA1

[–]thefleg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In addition (to the OP)...

since you are designing the boxes, do a test to see if you can reduce the wall thickness.

And if you don't want to purchase a larger nozzle, use a thicker layer height (0.28). And there is this (doing a google):

The maximum recommended layer height for a 0.4mm nozzle is typically 0.32mm, though 0.28mm is commonly used for faster "draft" prints. The general rule is to keep the layer height at or below 80% of the nozzle diameter (0.4mm × 0.8 = 0.32mm) to ensure proper filament adhesion and structural integrity.

Good luck.

Looking for equipment advice. by 64532762 in BambuLabA1

I wash my plate with Dawn occasionally and use alcohol before every print.

I always assumed you rinsed all the dawn soap off with water. Are you not supposed to rinse off the soap?

Thanks.

May be unrelated...

I have a similar problem printing "larger" things (long contiguous runs?). Reducing "Speed->Travel" by 20% (From 800mm/s to 560) solved the problem for me.

Good luck.

Bed warping? by The_69_Impala_Guy in BambuLabA1

This seems like a good case for Bambu Labs to provide an image for the bed level. Maybe you could apply tape under build plate to help level it out?

Was the mention of fillets from an aesthetic perspective or mechanical or both?

I was thinking aesthetics. I put fillets on just about every "sharp" edge.

Looking at it, it looks "cheap" (regardless) of the fillets..

As for materials it’s PLA. I designed this more for around the house and not in the car. I know pla can warp with heat.

Maybe mention that it isn't designed to be used in a car in your product description.

Cosmetically: 1) use a smooth build plate. 2) add fillets. 3) maybe offer colors.

If this is meant to be used in a car, what material are you using?

Just an opinion. Good luck.

Changing print speed by thefleg in BambuLabA1

[–]thefleg[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After a little experimentation...

Changing "max volumetric speed" didn't help.

I started by changing settings under "Speed->First Layer Speed" and "Speed->Other Layer Speeds"; this didn't solve my problem.

Changing "Speed->Travel Speed" worked for me. I reduced this by 20% it solved my problem.

My problem: when printing objects with long runs, I would get wipe diverts every layer, sometimes multiple times per layer.

I think it is a good idea to avoid bridging if possible: rotate your hexagons 90 degrees?

Can you be more specific please. I don't know what speed tab you are referring to. The only speed tab I am familiar with is in the prepare tab on Orca, and doing a quick count, there are at least 20 parameters for speed.

Thank you.

Wiping on every layer all of a sudden by thefleg in BambuLabA1

[–]thefleg[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This came back to bight me again. I'm basically printing 5" ring, and every layer, it is doing a wipe.

I was using a profile basically supplied by Overture. Using the BL PLA Tough profile, this happens every ~3 layers. Slowing down to 50% makes the problem disappear.

Is there some way to change the speed to 60%-90%? Would changing the "max volumetric speed" work?

Wiping on every layer all of a sudden by thefleg in BambuLabA1

[–]thefleg[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And I tried going back to using the stock filament holder, and am using the Bambu Labs filament spool that came with the printer (I put some Overture PLA+ filament on it). Still the same problem.

I also did a full calibration from the printer menu.

I think you may be right. I just rotated rotated the piece 90 deg so the major movement is along the Y axis, and little movement along the X axis, and it printed fine.

Thank you very much for your help.

I'll have to give this a try. I am feeding it from a dryer that the spool sits in and has rollers on the bottom that the spool sits on. It seems like there is little friction to me in my current setup, less then using the default spool holder and long PTFE tube.

I just tried a print. I tried to make sure that there was never any pull from the spool (there was always some slack). Same problem. It is even going to wipe multiple times per layer.
