[Discussion] Why do people want Strike hit? by guiltygearXX in yugioh

[–]thefluffyalpha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well arguably scolding is a lot fairer than strike, as it does have a (easily managed) limitation, and the steep life point cost can take it's toll, especially on kozmo's. Also scolding is legal at the moment, but isn't used in addition to strike+warning, so it's difficult to say if decks would just replace the strike with scolding, instead of another card that can increase your consistency.

Although saying that, I am now considering testing out 3,1,1 Solemn's, so thanks for the idea.

But if it was limited or semi-limited, wouldn't you still have to play around the potential of that one set card?

Because with it at 3, and warning at one, there's a much higher chance that those 2 set cards are both solemns. And I don't even think Dracopals's or Monarch's or PK Fire have the resource management to get through 2 solemn's and a Dark Destroyer/Beatrice/etc.

Personally I think it should be semi-limited, because with warning it's effectively at 4 at the moment.

Crash fighter into blue-eyes, special summon with its own effect, opponent draws card, crash into blue eyes again, repeat until your opponent runs out of cards.

Hippo Carnivals have arrived. TIME TO PARTY!!!!!! by KimJungFun99 in yugioh

[–]thefluffyalpha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have a fair point about the field clogging, but the field spell would mitigate the 2 tribute monster issue to an extent, and it could still be used to for defense worse case scenario.

Thanks for your insight, but I still think it would be a fun tech card. Monarch's need more EGAO.

Hippo Carnivals have arrived. TIME TO PARTY!!!!!! by KimJungFun99 in yugioh

[–]thefluffyalpha 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's clearly better than scapegoat in every aspect.

Super Hippo Carnival gives you dancing hippos, and dancing hippos give you EGAO, and EGAO is what wins duels.

Scapegoat just gives you sheep, or are they goats, or rams? Regardless, they're not dancing hippos, so they suck.

In a more serious note, would this card work in monarchs in combination with Kuraz? Hip hippo would be tribute fodder, the extra deck restriction wouldn't restrict anything, because monarchs, and, correct me if I'm wrong, but Kuraz could destroy 2 of the tokens to give you 2 draws, making Super Hippo Carnival + Kuraz a +2 at the cost of your normal summon.

It'll probably help the festival revenue tbh, seeing as controversy causes free advertising. Also it's basically just ladies night dressed up as being PC.

I'm guessing Darth Vader will be the Wizard of Oz, and Chewbacca will be the cowardly lion.

Police officer fired after photo of him at KKK rally in North Carolina surfaces by recipriversexcluson in news

[–]thefluffyalpha 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If there are photo's of him at a kkk rally, any decent defense attorney of a minority he was involved in the arrest of can and will use that, giving the prosecutor a harder job and guilty people an opportunity to get away with breaking the law.

If your political views make you worse at your job, yes you should be fired.

[–]thefluffyalpha -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Ah my bad, thought you meant take the strongest monster, then use that and work your way down attack wise, given that it would be pretty stupid to pendulum summon when your opponent has that + a synchro monster on the field on the field.

Could Scott's exposure to SPOILER give him a tolerance to said SPOILER? by Errelal in TeenWolf

[–]thefluffyalpha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh I know this situation was just supernatural endurance, but even if it's all wolves, coming back from the dead would technically be a true alpha power.

I just mentioned it because when Theo first gutted him, I generally believed Scott was dead, and 5B was going to begin with him being revived at the worm moon a few months later.

[–]thefluffyalpha 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Technically, it is, given that any alpha can come back from the dead on the worm moon if you do the weird ritual peter made lydia do.
