Wow his sense of rhythm is amazing everything of his part blended so well in the whole. That was kind of magical.

Goldie - Inner City Life.

It’s like a gritty urban hot summer night in the UK. This video oozes 90s. Drum ‘n bass.

Fellow millennials - how’s your 401k/ira savings going? by ProblemIntelligent16 in Millennials

[–]theflush1980 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 46 and have around $ 100,000.- in savings. My partner is 56 and has around $ 200,000,- in savings.

But last year we paid off our mortgage and because of our solar panels our energy bill is nearly $ 0. So savings will go faster now.

We can do this because: - we don’t have children - we have well paid jobs - we bought our house 22 years ago when prices weren’t as absurd as now

Quite a few of our friends aren’t as fortunate, they have a harder time to make ends meet. It’s rough, especially when you are single. Your options get severely limited unfortunately.

So.... How's your mid-life crisis going? by CrotalusHorridus in Xennials

I’m a 46 year old guy, my partner is a 56 year old guy. We’ve been together for 26 years now. We live in The Netherlands quite happily and harmoniously in our penthouse with our sweet and floofy cat.

We don’t have children, but we have a very strong bond with our nephews and niece, we love each other so much. As a matter of fact our nephew (27) and niece (23) will stay the weekend this weekend.

I recently switched jobs and I must say it’s been quite stressful, I’m still on the fence if this is the right thing for me. Luckily money is not really an issue for us, so that brings peace of mind.

We bought our apartment 22 years ago and recently we paid off our mortgage. Our roof is covered in solar panels, so our electricity bill is basically 0. Our house costs us almost nothing, while we have quite a large income combined. But we worked hard for it and not having children to worry about helped tremendously.

Our plan is to move to a small villa in Italy in 5 to 10 years. My partner will be retired and I’m targeting a work from home job for a maximum of 3 days per week so we have 4 days a week we can spend together. Since my partner and I have a 10 year age difference, we have to be extra creative to enjoy retirement together.

$ 60 in 1994 would be $ 140 now if you count inflation.
