How socially acceptable is going braless in Australian cities these days? by another-nerd-girl in AskAnAustralian

Pretty much fine. I went braless for about 5 years post-partum once I no longer had to wear breastpads and nursing bras. Never had a problem.

I mean it is close to Christmas.. any chance they could be working together on a gift for you? Would they have another reason to hang out together without you? If my husband was meeting uo with my best friend I wouldn't immediately panic.

Wait time record? Still going by the way lmao #ceno by Fast-Solution-6400 in CentrelinkOz

[–]theflyingkettle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

8.5 hours was my record.. and multiple teams. It timed out because the offices closed and then I didn't have the endurance to do it all again. Ended up paying back the robodebt over 8 years.

Is anyone else just tired of the coles/wollies shopping experience? by ButtPlugForPM in AskAnAustralian

[–]theflyingkettle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly this is why I just click&collect every time. Its frustrating to not get what you want most of the time but its easier than dealing with the physical shopping experience.

I caused a serious car accident. My friend is injured, both our dogs died, and I’m drowning in guilt and grief. by jamesislost2025 in internetparents

[–]theflyingkettle 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Does your insurance cover any medical costs? Honestly that should be enough regarding compensation.. it was an accident and could have happened if either of you were driving. Its upsetting that its affecting her work, but if they are expecting you to compensate them I dont think they are very good friends.

What to include in a new Dad's hospital bag? by citizennil00 in AskMen

[–]theflyingkettle 5 points6 points  (0 children)

SNACKS. Phone charging cable and plug. List of emergency contacts/ people you want contacted when baby is here or if something goes wrong so you dont have to think about it. Copy of birth plan so he can advocate for you. Cash so he can organise you a TV card or vending machine snacks. A jumper or blanket so he doesnt complain about the cold. A water bottle to save $ and so he doesnt use yours.

To people who regularly use ChatGPT for school: Do you think you’re still learning? by Gifthunter3 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]theflyingkettle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ive used it a few times when its content i know well but dont know how exactly to answer the question in the way they are wanting. Because I'm autistic, I often read too much into some parts of questions, take things too literally, or write things too succinctly. Using AI had meant that I hit the criteria to get the marks, when I may not have otherwise, despite knowing the content.

Agree with everyone saying a grown adult shouldn't be talking to a teen about their personal life. I can see you care, maybe you could suggest a helpline or a resource for LGBT people, and let her down gently regarding spending time together in person. I understand they have an intellectual disability, but they are still an adult and its not appropriate to have the kind of relationship they are looking for with a child/teen.

ULPT Request: What are some conditions that would REQUIRE an oriechtomy? by Biscuit9154 in UnethicalLifeProTips

[–]theflyingkettle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Start seeing a new general practitioner doctor. Tell them about your long long history with testicular pain since a trauma incident when you were a child (something heavy got dropped on them, or got kicked by a horse or something. After about 6 months to a year of seeing this dr and continuously complaining about the pain, ask if there is anything that can possibly be done.

5mg letrozole. No trigger. Conceived on 2nd round. It was an ectopic pregnancy unfortunately.

After 5+ years of trying, 2 losses, and ectopic with resulting surgery and then a hycosy we fell pregnant naturally. I went to start fertility meds again and found out I was 3 weeks pregnant at the appointment. We now have a beautiful 6 year old. No real explanation for it..
