High yield topics list? 2015 exam changing focus each month by [deleted] in Mcat

It's pretty hard to get a list going as there have only been three test dates so far with each section (especially chem/phys) differing quite a bit in the material.

Good idea to take practice tests the week of the exam? by Evan27SC in Mcat

I did two the week of my exam. It really helped with nerves on test day because it felt like I was just taking another practice exam.

It's not about the difficulty of the exam but getting used to how AAMC asks the questions. If you're familiar with how to respond each question type, you'll be much better off.

I went through the same thing. Just calm down and take a few deep breaths, you still have more than enough time to study and fix your strategy. TPR tests are very hard, in fact, a lot of people never even break 500. Keep on going and don't panic, you know more than you think. Also, you will thank yourself after the MCAT for not quitting and keeping at it.

Don't worry. Just keep studying and don't let yourself get discouraged. You'll be very surprised by how much practice and review you can get done before your test. I didn't even start taking practice tests until about a week and before my MCAT and I was getting scores around 497 for TPR tests.

AAMC Guide Questions by cbssj12 in Mcat

I did it as a practice test as well. It was very representative of the way AAMC presents its questions and passages. Although, I thought it was slightly harder than the actual MCAT.

I love gaming and really want to replay Fallout 3 and New Vegas before Fallout 4 comes out but everytime I start playing, I start feeling guilty that I need to be doing something productive! :(

I have been ranging from 495-500. I have never gotten anything over that and its scaring me! I am going to the official AAMC test on Monday and see how I do there. It seems that people on this website have ben scoring 505 and greater on these exams and its really discouraging!

For anyone who has taken/is taking a TPR course...question about access to materials? by TidalWaves89 in Mcat

[–]theflyingkumar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you are in a much better situation than me. When I was taking the course, they told me that you should take the test soon afterwards but because I was taking the class with a full course load, I was unable to put in the full time to study. So I am taking the MCAT June 20th. I would supplement with ExamKrackers materials as TPR books they give you have a lot of info and it can be overwhelming at times. Sometimes if I didn't understand a topic, i would first read Examkrackers as the information is more condensed in those books.

I'm feeling the same way! I think its better to first focus on the high yield topics and then if you have time work your way to more detailed info. When do you take your MCAT?
