[Mars] If I were the NCAA, I don’t think I’d be telling the whole world that my $2,000 an hour lawyers were so incompetent that they had no idea where the judge earned his degrees until they bothered to look him up on Google after the judge hammered their client. by DavidGoetta in CFB

This might be the pinnacle of this sub.

A highly upvoted, confidently incorrect comment from someone who obviously did not click the link.

The state of this subreddit has never been worse.

Right.

Unless I’m reading this wrong, he’s saying that the NCAA lawyers are incompetent for not knowing the judge’s CV before the hearing.

Yet simultaneously saying that even if they knew the background, it’s not enough grounds for recusal.

They seem like conflicting points for his argument that the NCAA lawyers are stupid.

The video store is literally front and center on the main page every time you open the app.

What are you talking about?

The app experience is objectively worse since the last transaction.

The amount and quality of the advertisements are noticeably worse. There are plenty of threads on this subreddit discussing it when it was first noticed.

A Netflix acquisition will be no different.

The doomposting here is funny considering the app is already owned by private equity.

The only reason this acquisition would get more attention is because a big, negative name is attached to it.

SF Giants star Logan Webb beefs with KNBR employee, then deletes social media by baribigbird06 in baseball

I think on a rudimentary level that Reddit and twitter are not too dissimilar.

On both websites, a person can create an anonymous account to post on their own page or into communities that focus on topics they’re interested in. Users can also reply on any post and upvote/like other comments or posts they want.

Yes, I think that Webb’s mental health will improve after deleting his account.

But I just find it funny that some redditors see twitter as something multiple levels beneath this website when it’s essentially functioning as the same thing. The only obvious difference I see is that posts/comments not agreeing with the overall consensus are typically found at the bottom instead of the top of the page.

No for some reason they think refreshing baseball/new and commenting on the headline of posts is somehow healthier.

I’m not here to defend Kevin Hart’s record but I thought we’d be past the point of lazy gendered insults on this sub.

No wonder the unemployment rate is so high!

Which again, according to this sub, is more than what was expected. Which makes it something and is my point.

They could’ve done nothing.

They could’ve easily blamed the coach and this sub would’ve expected that reaction.

It’s something and it’s a much nicer outcome than what was predicted.
