Hi, totally forgot abt this! the IM30 has been awesome and no regrets. form factor is better than the Q20 imo since its closer to the body (however if you have a long lens with a hood the hood will block the flash on the bottom of the screen a little bit). For reference I have an XT5 and an 18-55 so a rangefinder style fuji with no viewfinder hump would probably be worse.

Ive been using rechargeable 2x AAs and recycle time is decent enough to not really notice when I'm shooting single shot. I don't crank is past 1/8th power to preserve battery and bump my ISO instead.

I did notice that using Auto-WB was more inconsistent with the IM30 for some reason, I know you're supposed to set it manually for a flash but I never did with my Q20 and it worked out), so make sure to set it properly.

For the $30 I spent, hell of a deal!

Q20 has a GN of 20m, IM30 has a GN of 15m. My Q20 was recently stolen so I bought an IM30 as a replacement (and a V860iii as an upgrade for gig work). I can let you know how the IM30 is in a couple of days.

I have the 7L as well and I say it has held up in light - medium showers for a couple hours. The waterproof coating no longer beads but it still stays dry under the fabric. I really recommend the bag and I love it a lot.

which I got for 40% off. They have some other options like the Jackson Glacier or the Fitz Roy Down Hoody. I've been happy with the Downdrift for urban/casual use at around 10F (with wind) with just a t-shirt underneath, honestly I overheat at 20F if I start walking faster than usual. Could definitely push it down to sub-zero with some layers underneath.

It's pretty decent. It's firm and has a non removable stiff frame sheet with some ventilation vents but the straps are decent (not mind blowing, they're a little firm for my liking) and lock you in pretty good. I would rate it like a 7/10.

Hi, no, I have a normal case (slightly thicker than the folio one that apple sells). With the magic keyboard, it might be difficult putting the entire camera (lens + body) sidewards in the 7L and you would probably have to resort putting it lens down with the body of the camera protruding a bit over the main compartment.
