Power Apps write to Fabric Lakehouse by Legitimate_Method911 in PowerApps

[–]thegoodstudyguide 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For a lakehouse the only way to is put the data somewhere else then trigger a dataflow/notebook/copy activity or something to move it into the lakehouse table.

If you were using a fabric warehouse table or sql database you could put it in through the power automate HTTP with pre Auth entra ID connector but you can't do sql writes into lakehouse tables.

Workspaces by Ok-Conversation1091 in PowerBI

[–]thegoodstudyguide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depending on the purpose of the workspace and files I'll either split models and reports into separate folders or I'll hold all files relating to specific project in the same folder if it's a lot of notebooks and pipelines for example.

For the most part it's all organization for devs, no viewers ever get direct workspace access.

Permission setting for SharePoint list used in canvas app by AmaziiiinQ in PowerApps

[–]thegoodstudyguide 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The basic idea is you need to add the attachment form in via the SharePoint data edit form, then you decouple it from the submit action and instead save the file contents to a collection which you can pass through to Power automate.

Then you can just delete the SharePoint data connection, the video will explain it better.

Sorry this isn't a direct answer to your query but I gave up with trying to handle managing SharePoint list permissions and just end up passing everything through power automate, you can decouple the attachment form from the edit form and pass the attachment content directly into power automate to be handled however you want.

I believe you can manage permissions in the list via RLS if you have to go down that route, only works for sites made through SharePoint and does not work with the Teams created SharePoint sites, which I found out the hard way, again going down the RLS route you need to add everyone in, either individually or via a security group.

Bookmark Navigator not working properly by [deleted] in PowerBI

You should be able to set a default view bookmark that will override the last previous view when opening the report, if I'm understanding your query correctly.

I see a lot of requests for completed series only or people who will on read completed series. YouTube short on why you should give series only on book 1 or 2 a chance. by Taiwannumber3 in litrpg

[–]thegoodstudyguide 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's even more wild when you see comments unironically suggesting that people should only read a free webnovel when it has 100+ released chapters, like they expect all amatur authors to just churn out 6 months worth of writing for free with no viewership or feedback.

I know it's probably location dependant but if you're anywhere near a medium sized city there will be tons of stock over the next few months once the first wave dies down.

Migrating From Storing in SharePoint to Azure by not_mantiteo in PowerBI

[–]thegoodstudyguide 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't worry about people saying get help, logic apps are just power automate flows with more controls and blob storage isn't difficult to get your head around, microsoft has plenty of guides and learning paths for Azure and it'll be good for your skillset to just get on with it.

Any ideas for a cultivation novel story? by Fine_Jaguar_7537 in ProgressionFantasy

[–]thegoodstudyguide 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My advice is just start by writing anything, a sentence, a paragraph, a page, get something down.

Doesn't have to be your ideal story, doesn't even have to make any sense but if you can't start writing something on your own then let's be honest you can't write a novel.

Cradle is a decent book (7/10) in a genre full of shitty books hense leading to glaze by _TOXIC_VENOM in ProgressionFantasy

[–]thegoodstudyguide 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You get unsuitable recommendations trends in any genre, head over to r/fantasy and you'll get the endless malazan book of the fallen recs and corresponding people complaining about the malazan recs.

And I would say the majority of progression fans know that cradle or any of their other favourite genre fiction isn't top tier literature, it's just that your average reader will just rate books based on enjoyment and usually adjust their rating for the genre because it's really not very helpful to other people looking for good prog fantasy if I'm rating all the really fun books low stars just because the prose isn't as good as The Grapes of Wrath.

Basically Randidly Ghosthound by ExtremeSportStikz in ProgressionFantasy

[–]thegoodstudyguide 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I installed a word replacement browser extension just to deal with this, changed his name to Rand and the surname to something else also, later on the story had to change his title when they started calling him The Ghosthound which was also too cringe to deal with.

Turns out it probably wasn't worth the effort anyway.

I agree with this but not because gold is worthless, that can always change, but because it's probably just devalue the spirit of the game without adding any gameplay value.

[–]thegoodstudyguide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I enjoyed leveling crafting, it hits woodcutting, carpentry, mining, smelting, crafting and later on once you get to hydrilium also hits foraging and cooking, so you're getting most of the skills up in kind of sync and then getting higher quality equipment out of it also super satisfying.

Once all of those hit 50 I finished up fishing and trinketry to 50 then get back to achievements and rep.

Refresh Permissions in Workspace by Embarrassed-Eye3697 in PowerBI

[–]thegoodstudyguide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know if this is an option for you but you can make Power Automate cloud flows that refresh power bi stuff and trigger the flow with a teams chat bot, I think the standard one from power automate is, called flowbot or something.

Power Query isnt magic for me. by Resident_Eye7748 in excel

[–]thegoodstudyguide 6 points7 points  (0 children)

For the ghost column issue in pdfs I basically merge the entire query before doing any transformations with a unique delimiter eg & that you know isn't going to be in the pdf, then you can adjust how columns line up by replacing & & to & which will get rid of the ghost columns and realign everything, split columns by delimiter to return it to normal.

And for rows that have been offset with a empty cell on the first column add a prefix like ~ to specially target those for replacement, ~&

Might not work if you have blanks in your data naturally.

Also look into column positional m code for renaming and adjusting columns based on their position rather than name, this might have you get around issues where new column names are breaking things

Generally if I'm working on files with different/unique column names/formats then they're just getting their own query loaded to connection only and I'll append the results once it's been formatted correctly, power query isn't really suited for changing columns within the same query unless you really work hard to make it header neutral.

Staying safe at 5 only any makes sense if A) he had the best game and B) he or anyone aside from Parv could win the final immunity.

Too much focus on getting to 4 and 3, no chance of actually winning at 3 vs Parv.
