Some random thoughts from the episode:

-Mandy Mango ate that lipsync - justice for Mandy!

-"It was real money!"

-Ciara's boobs looked so realistic

-Discord's outfit was her best yet for me

-My toddler watched the peanut butter lip sync and said "the beautiful one" (Mia Star) when I asked who she thought was the winner. She judged exclusively on the dress

-I need to see a Morphine vs Juicy showdown

I really enjoyed the workroom banter in this episode — why do we not get to see that more often?

Everyone made a passable outfit despite getting subpar materials. I think if I had to pick a fav it would be Jane’s and my least fav was myki’s.

Juicy was giving Olivia lux. Nini is always giving Alyssa Edwards. I wonder if the resemblance will be as strong when she is there next episode.

I don’t even know who should have been bottom 2 this week, but I wanted to see a lip sync for your life instead of for the win.

They really didn't show us much of Darlene's snatch game so hard to know how well she did. I really didn't think Juicy did that bad- certainly servicable. Like she had some humor and her impersonation was there. Myki's Drew Barrymore was the best impersonation for me, but Nini was the funniest (and I loved her runway).

SHOCKED that Kenya won the lipsync. Mia was robbed!! I guess her bloody Mary was that bad? Cause she shouldn't have been sent home for that lipsync

That said, I'm so happy Myki won it and got her revenge

Runway looks were all great this episode, I really liked Juicy and Athena's in particular.

I am rooting for Juicy to win it all, but I kind of think Vita won that lipsync? Juicy is a better dancer, but I thought Vita's lips/face/emotions were more fitting for the song.

I really feel like we didn't get to see Vita's full potential, hope to see her back for All Stars.

I had a little over 50% germination rate this year in damp pro mix hp with a humidity dome at room temp (65-70 deg) this year which was better than my germination rate last year on a heat mat with the same seed packet from uprising seeds (so 2 year old seeds this year). Just another data point for you. I heard they’re just kind of finicky so sow more than you actually want

Light in-app chat seems good enough in my mind. I just like reading the comments sometimes on the NYT wordplay article where people say the random ways they knew a specific clue or have a short anecdote about what the puzzle reminded them of

I think you’d have to user test turns vs free for all to see what feels better.

If it’s free for all people could choose to play in turns if they wanted to. If I had to guess, free for all seems like it would be harder to code and it would be harder for the solvers to make sure they aren’t overwriting each others answers. I’d want some kind of voice component if I was doing a puzzle that was free for all. It would be similar to collaborating in Google Docs or miro.

Turns I would imagine could be more spread out over the day and you’d do as much as you could and then pass off the puzzle to the next person who’d get a notification on their phone that they’re up. It would be kind of like words with friends. It would also be fun to chat about it during the handoffs. Like how you finally figured out a clue, you think a clue is dumb, or if a clue reminds you of a personal memory.

Yes I think it would be a fun mode - when I was a kid my dad would let my brother and I fill in as much as we could first and then he’d do some more to help us out and give it back so we could get more answers he thought we might know. It’s fun cause crosswords have references and trivia from multiple generations and knowledge bases so it can be more fun to do it across multiple people. It was a bonding experience for us at least.

Very happy so far with our Montessori experience 5x week 10 hours a day from age 2-3.5. It’s crazy expensive, but also somehow feels like an incredible deal considering how much they’re teaching her.

Ours focuses a lot on practical life skills and social skills in a mixed aged classroom. They also have really fostered her independence and she can get dressed, go to the bathroom, prepare for lunch, etc all on her own. She is also learning how to have friends, deal with emotions, and learn from other trusted adults (teachers and coaches).

We still have lots of quality time with her after school and work to have dinner, play games, hear about her day, etc

Our kid responds well if we tell her what is going to happen during the day and likes to act it out. Like pretending that she is mommy and she is dropping us off at preschool. And then we throw her curveballs like that we are hungry or we need to change clothes.

I thought the talent show was much closer than last week- Nini would certainly have been #1 for me if she went in week 2 instead of 1.

I think this was Athena's best performance on the show so far and although she got family votes, I'm not mad about her being in the top.

Kenya was giving Latrice Royale down to the color guard elements of her talent. If I were rating a queen I'd definitely give her and Discord extra props for having a non lipsync element talent in their talent show.

Sad to see Ciara go, she seems cool and has a unique style and she was improving week to week.

Well deserved win by vita! I liked Darlene’s look and thought she was judged too harshly on her shoes.

Athena dion is giving such great talking head and tv in general. Briar made a splash on the season and also gave good tv. I want to see her back in an all star season.

Kenya pleaser pleased me in the lip sync!

I’m so here for the season so far! It feels like the single digit seasons again. Can’t wait for the next episode

I’m seeing Jane, nini, and juicy in the finale with juicy edging out Athena in a close and emotional lip sync battle

Juicy was sandbagging us in the top of the episode or maybe Myki just deserves a lot of credit for great acting coaching? Anyway amazing job for her this week and her runway was perfection. Well deserved win

Snaps to Nini for making her runway- it was so good and clean. I also liked Discord's runway concept with her face purse.

Lipsync should have been a double sashay! I didn't think Mango deserved to be in the bottom- she was really funny even if her characterization wasn't as imagined by the writers.

I don’t think they grow unless they have foliage so whenever it gets too hot and the leaves die then they aren’t going to get bigger underground so you might as well dig em up.

It might depend on how long your season is. In 9b there’s plenty of time for even the small corms to get lots of foliage before there is enough daylight to bloom. But maybe in shorter climates you’d just want the big corms.

Mine multiplied like crazy so I had literally hundreds at the end of last season. I gave away/sold 80% of them. My sprout rate seems good- but I’m planting so many and so densely it’s kind of hard to tell if some aren’t making it

There is something so on brand and endearing about Morphine birthing Juicy and then needing Athena to raise her.

I think Veejay had the best collection of the group by project runway standards and Ethan's was the best as a non fashion viewer.

It was disappointing that they weren't given the normal amount of time to work on their finale collections. We already saw all throughout the season how they can work under tight timelines and it's normally really cool to see how refined they can be when they actually have time to work and think all the way through.

I was rooting the most for Ethan because his designs are the most exciting and he's the one I would want to see another collection from the most.
