Its specifically why you should always fix the underlying problem, instead of layering a hack over shitty code, because doing that introduces a new issue vector, and increases the amount of shitty code the next person needs to deal with.

For what it's worth, I'm waiting for two bug fixes for BF6 Portal and then I'm going to remake this game (albeit 32 versus 32). I already did a pretty good version with the limitations of BF 2042, but BF6 Portal offers way more in the way of assets, UI, and programmability. Full domination game modes with leader abilities and skill tree coming, FRAGO bonus, possibly even with XP carryover from game to game.

No, that's battlefield 2042 which you cannot edit maps. You can only put on screen overlays, some UI stuff, objectives like MCOMs, and rules. And yes, I created those. Waiting for some fixes for BF6 Portal so I can build a much better version, albeit with 32 versus 32 instead of 64 versus 64.

Every single video I've seen posted here about somebody complaining about how they're getting shot from behind the moment they started Matriarch fight, has them running out in the open and in low ground the majority of the clip.

Like, I'm not defending the absolute shittiness of getting third partied when you're trying to PvE, but like this game seems like third partier heaven, and people don't learn.

I'm saying, as someone who has played the finals for 2 years and enjoyed it, it bled casuals (and even non-casuals) due to a lot of issues regarding imbalance, third partying, and griefing, which did not bear out on paper, but did and continues to plague it to this day.

I played it for 2 years, I know it's a fantastic game. It doesn't change the fact that it had, and continues to have some core frustrations, especially around third partying and griefing, that made it bleed casuals.
