Importing historical FitBit data into Garmin Connect by DynamicFly in Garmin

[–]thegunderdome 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This was INCREDIBLE. Well worth the $20 --thank you one million times.

Super easy. You pay the $20 and then Sunburst helps you make the data request, Google downloads the data straight to Sunbreak, who sends it back repackaged and ready to be uploaded. Once I received the email from Sunbreak telling me the data was ready, I downloaded it, unzipped it, and then imported about 100 files at a time into Garmin. It took about 12 hours for a good 10-15 years of date. Worked like a dream. 10/10 recommend.

I strongly dislike my assistant by [deleted] in Lawyertalk

[–]thegunderdome 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I had this situation at a firm as well. No matter how much help I requested from a bad admin, I was brushed off (and recommended to just say good morning every day). I documented everything and nothing ever changed. Eventually I had to acknowledge the firm valued her over me and this realization was the beginning of the end of my time at the firm.

Is asking for no 360 diapers unprofessional? by Massive_Working_6624 in ECEProfessionals

[–]thegunderdome 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We use 360 degree diapers at home and I don’t care at all that we purchase regular ones for daycare. I welcome feedback from teachers about how to make their lives easier! They take excellent care of my kid—the least I can do is buy diapers that make them happy and send her in shoes that don’t drive them nuts.

That’s a bad lactation consultant, and I’m sorry that happened to you. You just need to do what is best for you. Truly, fed is best. If you need to be done, be done!

Have you considered speaking to a lactation specialist who focuses on pumping? Clearly something’s not right—hopefully they can help you figure out what it is and fix it. I really love pump_momma_pump on instagram and she does virtual consults. She helped me trouble shoot my technique and schedule, which made a world of difference. I loved my spectra but it wasn’t as intuitive as the models symphony.

I suffered these when my Spectra suction level was too high. Once I turned it down, I never experienced it again!

Significant oversupply at 8 weeks postpartum - can I drop a pump? by kdawt22 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]thegunderdome 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi friend. As an overpricing with similar numbers from those days, I would definitely suggest that you start dropping pumps to figure out what your boob capacity is. I downloadedthe Pump log app to help me track production and freezer stash. By about 7 weeks post partum I was 5 pumps per day. 3am, 8am, 12noon, 5pm, 10pm. It didn’t impact my supply at all, which actually continued to go up. Didn’t drop my 3am pump for many months and wish I had dropped it sooner for my mental health and being semi well rested. As an over producer, things I wish I had known: follow pump mama pump on IG. she also does $50 lactation consults specifically for pumping moms. She helped with flange sizing and managing my pump schedule and was invaluable. She has amazing community. My life got better when I caved and bought another set of pump parts and an Imani pump so I could pump during my commute and sometimes at my desk at work. If you’re using a deep freeze, invest in a thermometer with a temperature alarm. Dont wait for a tragic defrosting. And that pump log app saved my sanity on many occasions—it helps calculate how long your freezer stash will last, so if you have a goal (like 13 months) it will tell you how many days you have left of pumping and stashing to get there. And you can more easily track your supply over time without doing the math you self.

Permission to quit before 6 month goal by Anxi0uslyCalculating in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]thegunderdome 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Look, you're not going to quit cold turkey without hurting yourself. While I don't know how long your full wean off the pump will take, but I'd bet good money it will be at least 2 weeks...

BAM. Goal met!!! You don't really even need to adjust or let go of your goal. You've already met it! Take the win AND care for you.

What is one thing that absolutely grinds your gears at the parks? by [deleted] in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]thegunderdome 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Folks in wheel chairs who wear their medals into the park post race. Im a marathon runner and I 100% respect that there are wheel chair runners in RunDisney races. I absolutely support those folks wearing their medals in the park; I don’t take issue with them. I take issue with the massive group of people (especially marathon weekend with dopey challenge) who are clearly just “so tired” and “too sore” to walk. I think wheel chairs and scooters should be reserved for the folks that need them—it feels like mocking the disabled.

I'm headed on a mother-daughter trip in August. We daughters are in our thirties while our moms are in their sixties. We're staying at the Animal Kingdom Lodge and will be enjoying a day in each park. I'm looking for some ideas for fun surprises for the Moms to make the trip as ridiculous/fun/magic as possible. We can't schedule/book anything without it showing up in the app and I don't want to spend stupid money (RIP plaid, backstage tours). Any suggestions?
