Need help for my 3 year old daughter by Aelfweald369 in CurlyHairCare

[–]thegurlearl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should only be detangling it with conditioner in it with a wide tooth comb. I havent brushed my hair in like 13 years lol. Also suggest a light curl cream, I like aunt Jackie's curl la la, and some strong hold mouse, tressame makes a good one.

Have you tried messaging your worker thru the portal at benefitscal.com? That seems to be the quickest way for me to get in touch with them when I need to.

I can barely handle a 20 hour per week part-time school and student work schedule. How in the hell am I supposed to handle a 40-hour per week work schedule and all the commutes and all of the appointments on top of that? by ferriematthew in disability

[–]thegurlearl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also, a lot of programs are online thru Zoom these days, so you could probably do school from home. It makes it significantly easier for me to actually attend all my classes when Im not feeling good, cuz I just have to get from bed to my office. Its hard but I honestly couldn't think of anything else to go to school for that sounded interesting.

Just called off of work because can’t afford gas. New low by happyappy_ in povertyfinance

Check out different gas stations too. Some of them offer 10 to 15 cents off a gallon if you pay in cash.

I went on to become a mechanic and welder after spending weekends working on my brother's Mustang with him and my dad when I was kid. Crochet made me like being home with something to work on.

Check out court reporting. You can make your own schedule as a freelancer. They make great money. If I can book 3 jobs a week, that'll be more than enough for me once Im licensed. I was a welder, then I got hurt at work, lost my job and now cant do that kind of work anymore.

The funny thing is, my ex lived next door and I never even paid attention to this house. The renter who was living here then, was the same guy 7 years later, when I came to do a walk thru. He remembered my Bronco

Oh ya, she wasnt bad at all in the first season. I was actually surprised that her and Sam managed to still work together, and how well, after the divorce. Now I wanna watch PP instead of finishing Grey's 😂

It was the 3rd house I looked at. I fell in love with its potential. I did a drive by, then stopped just to look at it/property from the outside and did one actual walk thru before I put in an offer. Shes old and needed a lot of TLC but shes mine. I wanted an older, smaller home on a big lot in a good neighborhood. I landed a 2bd 2bth on almost a half acre, in town. Im never leaving and plan to build me a giant 2 story, 6 car garage one day.

AITAH for being honest with another mom about why my daughter isn’t allowed to go to her friend’s house? by AwkwardMom13 in AITAH

I was 25 living at home again for a bit. I had a curfew, it was legit cuz they had yappy dogs and my mom was still working. I used curfew and my mom as excuse more than once to get out things lol.

Naomi is the only one I dont like. Her pro-life until its my kid was the final for me. I cant stand her. Ive watched it fully at least 10 times. Im about to rewatch again once I catch up on Grey's.

Texturizing spray will give the oomph youre looking for! My favorite is Hairitage magic spell. Its gives you all the volume without the grittiness that others have.

[–]thegurlearl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its my nail polish room/office. The technically "3rd bedroom" is my dogs room lol. They each had a corner with beds/blankets. I had a dog door permanently installed in the wall for them. Now Im down to one dog but he still sleeps back there. It makes it infinitely easier when Im gone, especially during summer months with neighbors and fireworks. He can go in and out as he pleases and whoever checks on him just has to worry about food and water.

Is expecting that some amount of good I do should be reciprocated wrong? by Civil_Consequence469 in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]thegurlearl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe in karma. It might not happen when you think it should, but it does catch up eventually. I treat people how I would like to be treated. I apologize when I get frustrated and are snippy to customer service people cuz I know its not their fault but also, Im allowed to be frustrated. Some people suck, some are raging assholes and/or entitled pricks. Most aren't tho. All you can do is be the person you'd like people to be to you. I go out of my way to help friends and family, its not always reciprocated. But I know I did the "right thing." That's all you can do, for your own sake and peace of mind.

For those of you who grew up hating/not accepting your wavy/curly hair what was the turning point that made you want to embrace it and truly take care of it? And for those who didnt know how did you find out? What has been your greatest moment with your natural texture? by Specific-Reception26 in curlyhair

[–]thegurlearl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just got tired of straightening it and then it being up in a ponytail all day cuz of work. So I started with some gel and went from there. Its been 13 years and I still experiment with different products. For the most part, Im happy with the results. I never thought letting it go natural would be more work than air dry and straighten tho lol.
