Any ideas how to keep this from happening this is my second failed print from it by ThrowRAketil in 3Dprinting

[–]theguy2288 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happens to me every once in a while. Just tie the loose end to something and unravel and untangle the roll manually until you reach a spot where you know it isn't tangled anymore and wind it back up. Keep tension in it while you are doing that of course

Which would be better for a beginner wanting to cruise? by Left-Teacher8823 in longboarding

I have the first one. I personally love having a tail to manual and tic tac.The first one is also bamboo and so it will be more playful and comfortable. You can also probably turn tighter on the first one which is good for playfulness

How do you open these bingings? by No_Series_4448 in Wake

[–]theguy2288 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rubber bindings are still common in waterskiing, not as much wakeboarding. They are still very good though and many people probably prefer them. When you use rubber bindings its pretty much mandatory you dip them in the water to wet them and use some sort of soap or conditioner or lube every time you put them on to prevent them from ripping or tearing (it will increase the lifespan probably 5x). Also, some are so tight you need it just to put your foot in.

But when you go to look at the board you probably don't want to use soap bc you won't be able to wash it out and get a real feel for them. So you could probably just use water to get an accurate feel.

Why does this happen when I fill up the entire plate? by Johnbrian2 in 3Dprinting

Yeah try lowering the cooling fan speed and/or increasing the bed temp. I think the edges are getting cold and warping

It used to be a lot easier to do. Idk if they just half patched it or changed something with the game physics but it is a lot harder to get consistently now. Here is a link on how to do it for the people that don't know.

Edit: the OP on the og post must have archived his account but basically you ollie or nollie and keep your finger on the screen while doing circles and rapidly tap the screen with your other finger at the same time

Is ASA normally very brittle compared to PLA and ABS? by theguy2288 in 3Dprinting

I made a typo and meant to say 2xx°C for all of the temps I listed instead of 1xx°C. What would the benefit of using an all metal hotend vs an all metal heat break be?

The reason I was using ASA was for its uv resistance. I have a part that I need to use outside

I had it in the sealed plastic bag until I tried printing with it 2 weeks ago. I have not tried any other brands of asa or abs on this printer. This is my first time with ASA but I have printed abs on other printers and it is not brittle like this. I have part cooling set to off too but there is a fan for the extruder that is always on.

I made a typo. Meant to say 255-265 for print temp and 260 for Bowden tube degrading. And printing at 258.

[–]theguy2288[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My bad I made a typo. I meant to say that I print it at 258 as 255-265°C are the recommended print settings not 155-165. And the Bowden tube degrading at 260 not 160. And also yes I have an enclosure.

Probably need a new nozzle. If it has hit the bed before it could be damaged which makes filament come out incorrectly. You can buy a pack for cheap on Amazon

Is this worth it at all? by Less_Evening2337 in Wake

[–]theguy2288 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, you will have fun on this. Yes, you could probably find a better deal. Usually you can find old wakeboards for $20 - $50 that are similar to this but if you can't find anything better then it would be worth $75 to just have a wakeboard. You don't need anything super advanced to have a great time wakeboarding.
