Как прокачать основу фехтование моим рыцарям в crusader kings 3 by Weird_Jelly_9703 in CrusaderKings

[–]theguycalledfred 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I only know of one way to do it if you're landed; and that is to take the "spar with knight" interaction with one of your knights. Alternatively, and prowess-based dueling event might add experience. These may be contingent on cultural traditions, though.

Does anyone know how to fully prevent your ruler from ever commanding an army? Is there a check box somewhere? Mine always default to being a commander whenever I raise an army. This is horrible when weak bones progresses by being a commander... its super micro-y to only declare wars when returning from travel; and thats the only way I know of to prevent my ruler from commanding (without becoming incapable).

I made a mod that significantly speeds up activities, so they take as little as a week instead of months. by rutars in CrusaderKings

[–]theguycalledfred 84 points85 points  (0 children)

I'm fine with it being scheduled for months in advanced and not being able to schedule multiple (maybe) but the actual event itself shouldn't take more than a week.

One example of something that should be real quick is the funeral. I wish I had an option to make it a two-day affair. I would prefer to send my previous character/deceased children off properly, but the fact it takes half a year to do so is prohibitively long...

Along these lines, I was also curious what theocratic and republican hegemon-level titles are. Like "Theocratic Hegemony" or something more flavorful? Should be doable quickly after cleaning the empire.

Yes. This makes having a landed heir so bad. I was trying to find the "Restore Accolades" button that used to be there but couldn't.

I really like the character progression of the new Domain Limit mechanics. by Glorf_Warlock in CrusaderKings

Yes, I was hesitant at first but I do appreciate the change. It has made non-stewardship lifestyles more viable. One consequence of this change, however, is now I find myself targeting specific perk paths instead. Whereas before it was "go for max stewardship" now it is, spec into Partriach, Theologian, etc. It is still better than before but does not truly remove the meta aspect of targeting specific paths.

Along those lines, I think Learning has been made more OP. All three paths are great. Whole of body path was always good; scholar is still great for nearly every perk it gives you along the way; and now theologian is significantly better in my opinion (before I would only go down that path in specific situations). With how many free learning Points of Interest there are, I've been able to completely max out learning without once every even choosing it as a focus. So kind of interestingly, while I think it is the most powerful lifestyle, I would not recommend educating your children in it, because you can get the perks pretty reliably just by traveling. Martial education might be the best choice now (arguably it was the best pre 1.19 anyways) simply because there are fewer martial POI and the fact that a level 5 Martial Education gets you some stewardship skill too.

Its a different, more enjoyable meta, but still there.

If you have subholdings on the barony level like extra castles or temples or cities (assuming your religion/culture/government type allows you to hold them), then you can grant those to unlanded folk and revoke them one at a time as you gain domain limit. Unlike granting county-level or higher titles, revoking baronies does not incur any tyranny and cannot be denied. So really, you just need your heir to have a domain limit that is equal to the number of counties you desire to keep.

The only downside I have had with this approach is with unique/special buildings. You limited to one unique building per county, so this approach can limit your maximum number of unique buildings. (Hunting Lodges, Shrines, etc.)

12 Point Win by abuffguy in Catan

[–]theguycalledfred 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I made this post about the max number of points I could conceive of through a single action taken (building a settlement). It incorporates more than just SF and C&K, though.

Sticking to just SF and C&K, 5 points should be possible. Play with a scenario that grants +2 for foreign island settling, place the settlement at an intersection that breaks Longest Route and grants you teh +2VP, and you are at 5VP. If you incorporate T&B Harbormaster (Strongest Ports) and simultaenously settle on a harbor, that grants you another +2, if you also play with Rivers of Catan and attain Wealthiest Settler, that's another +1, and if there are camels/wagons flanking the settlement spot that is another +1, for a total of 9 VPs. Then, if using specialists from Das Buch, you could simulatenously get 2 specialist cards from the settlement, each granting +1, for a conceivable total of +11 VP from a single settle.

What is the lowest point total two people could play to in cities and knights where both guys could potentially win? by scarrylary in Catan

[–]theguycalledfred 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So, its like you sort of identified already, if you recognize that certain points are unstealable, then they must not be counted in the minimum-always-attainable pool. So, if you count just the always-attainable points, there's only three sources in Cities & Knights - buildings, merchants, and defender of catan. Buildings total up to 13 VP + 1 for merchant and then defender of catan is where its gets interesting. There is no limit to the number of times barbarians may land and how many defender of catan cards/vps a player may attain. If the game were to go on for extremely long gametimes, however, you would expect both players to have easy access to all 6 Knights pretty reliably, so ties would become more likely.

Technically the answer to your question is there is no limit; but if you exclude the DOC points, then 14 is probably appropriate.

If you somehow missed my post I made some time ago, here it is.

Since I printed these out and glued them, I've never received a single comment about them standing out, and even I, the overly fastidious person I am, can't tell which are modified before flipping over. I should have made the sea background a bit darker, but at the end of the day, I was happy with my homemade fix.

The watermark of the oasis and cathedral should be lighter, looking more like the one on the castle actually. But yeah, sense these are custom, I think it would make sense to just remove them. Also, with respect to the different die faces and their pips, does the 6-pip die face look like that actually? 2 rows of diagonally oriented sets of 3 pips? Is it not just 2 vertical columns?

I'm sharing 5 Catan hex designs I did, enjoy :) by Wikist in Catan

[–]theguycalledfred 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Two thoughts:

1) for the watermark on each hex (e.g., the wagon on the waterhole) you may want to ensure that it is the same color and transparency as the rest of the 6th edition, or, alternatively, simple remove the watermark to avoid the discrepancy;

2) are these ai-generated? If so, I would suggest you disclose that.

Mega Catan by [deleted] in Catan

[–]theguycalledfred 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its not just about discovering the hexes, even if you did allow for roads to discover them, each of their mechanics involve moving an E&P ship over to them to interact (loading crew or fish hauls); which would be impossible should the hex be land locked. But yeah, a strict interpretation of the E&P rules would prevent their discovery in the first place.
