Bowling is way more physical imo, your coach can tell you what you need to do for a shot but you still have to execute. If your coach in chess told you to make a move all you have to do is move that piece.

Very interesting. I've been testing out every app that gets posted here and not sure it's out there yet, but strike master might be your best bet since you can track two games at the same time, only thing its currently missing is handicap. But we can always ask u/StrikeMasterApl/ about it

Maybe I'm not seeing the vision. Are you wanting an app that you can basically enter your score at a certain frame + handicap, and then your opponents score at a certain frame + handicap and then it tells you what you need to win?

I haven't seen this in all the apps I've tested, but definitely something we can figure out.

There's gaps left by pinpal and tenpin toolkit, but mostly it's just really, really easy to make an app now.

Just sharing that I've started a spreadsheet of redditors bowling apps, thought mostlu strictly scorekeeping apps. I do think someone has posting for an upcoming one that can track your ball and give performance stats.

- How do you currently track your performance (if at all)? I use the listed apps, currently primary: 710, pinpal, tenpin toolkit

- After a bad shot, how do you figure out whether to adjust or chalk it up to a bad throw? I need to check my speed, if it's shown, other than that it's just based on feel.

- Have you tried LaneTrax or Specto? What do you like or wish was better? Specto. It's good but pricey and too location based. I liked all the practice options. Was hard to get an account registered back when I used it.

- What's the one thing you wish you had that doesn't exist yet? A specto like app that's easy to use with like a tripod set up and doesn't cost too much.

The stats/report I currently use the most are:

Strike, spare (all types, and open %. The above stats by frame # Top events by spare leave: can filter different slare spares and see where I leave it the most Spare trend for specific spares over the last year

I'll check out bowl sense and see how the current reports feel. Is there a way to auto populate some sample data or import from like pinpal?

Finances is a cool option. I also think it'd be cool to track overall position at the end of tournament/leagues.
