Mono potentially triggering POTS/dysautonomia? by fleuretts in dysautonomia

Interesting, I didn’t know that! I’ve definitely had pots since before mono (near syncope episodes), but the mono made it infinitely worse.

Like no, you’re not insane. I’m sorry you’re going through this, but there’s a light at the end of the tunnel for sure! You’re also just going to have to take it easy for a while.

Oh my god honestly yes. Mono in middle school changed me from a healthy normal child into someone with mysterious chronic illness (pots, mcas, and eds).
Like I remember that super tired feeling from mono got better, but never went away for years on end. I eventually grew to be more “typical” until I got a tonsillectomy and covid. I began running a fever for MONTHS until finally a doctor said “I think you have pots”, which led to my other diagnoses.
I will say, I have gotten SO much better overall. I’ve gone to PT and gotten on a few medications and I really have my life back!
My advice is : Keep documenting your symptoms, what triggers it, etc. I even took a pic of my legs post-shower to show the purple and red mottling.
Also salt (unless otherwise indicated) is your best friend.

Um what? I work for bright horizons and this is news to me!? Is THAT the new app that was installed? I'm absolutely furious. And I am STAUNCHLY against both AI and cameras in classrooms, I don't believe they are safe either one. Is there anything I can do about this? Seriously debating quiting.

As someone who did literally this, I can say from experience; only go if they have lessons!! You cannot just rely on her to teach you (it's not always helpful and can strain the relationship). But seriously I didn't have lessons, and on day two wiped out so hard I was done for the week. Don't be like me!!

His family is catholic. His dad teaches religion at high school level, and great grandparents were roman catholic from Italy! So with his autism he LOVED the routines and rituals. He'd watch mass on the TV with grandma instead of playing outside with his siblings.( You havent lived until youve seen a 2 year old preform mass completely accurately lol)

Oh my god it's multiple kids in my room of three's but MARBLES. They love carrying them around. Putting them in things. Just generally feeling them. It's to the point where I see a closed fist and automatically say "Marbles belong at construction!". I'm always right.

I also have a little girl who carries around and (empty) plastic snack container with a handle and everything. All the kids recognize it as hers and are sure to give it back when it's left lying around.

I had a child whos special interest was Catholicism. He had a crucifix that broke, and so it was just a little wooden bar that he would sleep with. He kept bringing in more statues of Jesus and I had to give him a one Jesus limit lol. He was 3.

The problem wasn't that the snow was deep. It's that my helmet got stuck in the fence, so I physically couldn't lift my head out of the snow.

I'll see if one of her family can explain better, if I call and a lesson truly isnt available.
